This would have been a 5, apart from the fact that there was a mistake with the booking which meant we had to move rooms. Other than that we had a lovely stay. Lorraine makes you feel at home and the key things, a comfortable bed and a great breakfast were excellent. Ideal for visiting Edinburgh and a lovely view... More

My wife and I attended the last of this years performances of The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and so we needed two nights accommodation in Edinburgh - easier said than done with the Tattoo and Fringe on at the same time! I found Pearlview Guest House with the aid of Tripadvisor and was impressed with the reviews given to Lorraine.... More

Lorraine's Guest House was a wonderful way to start our UK adventure. Wonderful sunrise and sunsets over the ocean view and yet a easy and pretty bus ride into Edinburg. Double decker bus ran about every 10 minutes with the stop almost infront of her house to the center of Edinburg in about 20 minutes (digital display of time between... More

We love this B and B and have stayed here many times in the last few years. Lorraine is the perfect hostess. Friendly, helpful and full of local knowledge. The rooms we have had have all been light, airy and clean. There is a wide range of food available for breakfast and the full Scottish breakfast is tasty-as is her... More

We stayed at Pearl View for just one night but it was a lovely enough experience to rate it the four stars it deserves. The first you notice driving up to the guest house is the breathtaking view of the coast and sea. This is especially beautiful at sunset and the air feels so fresh. Now to the guest house... More

Warm welcome, great location, comfortable room, excellent breakfasts. Plus four days of good weather but not sure you can always expect this! Fine promenade walk west to Portobello and east to the delightful Fisherrow Harbour and Musselburgh. Take the bus or park a little closer to Edinburgh, walk through Queens Park to the city centre attractions.
