We stayed here for two nights, which was a Xmas present from our daughter and son-in-law. We had a standard room on the third floor, which was very comfortable and roomy. The room and en-suite were exceptionally clean. We only had breakfast in the hotel and although pricey was of very good quality. The staff were mainly of foreign origin,... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here for his birthday through the itison deal, and it was absolutely excellent. I informed the hotel it was his birthday and requested a simple birthday cake to be in our room when we arrived, and the hotel excelled itself. We arrived to a three cake thick chocolate cake with delicious chocolate icing with cherries... More

I stayed here on a Sunday night with my friends to celebrate my birthday and had an amazing time. When we checked in, my friend mentioned it was my birthday in front of the receptionist and she asked why we hadn't mentioned it before and then gave a wink to my friend. I didn't think anything of it but later... More

Nice hotel with plenty of charm. Great food, room was clean with good amenities. Location isn't ideal as quite far out of Central Edinburgh. Otherwise can't complain. I was in a standard double room on the third floor. Staff friendly, helpful and polite and checkin/out was a quick and painless process.

We have lost count how many times we have stayed at this hotel over the last few years . Once again we had a lovely stay. Having stayed at Hotel du Vin and a budget B&B we really love staying in Leith. It's so easy to hop on the bus into town , or go to places like the botanical... More

Perfectly located for exploring around Leith, Malmaison is within a few minutes walk of some of the best restaurants in Scotland. There are also lots of pubs and bars, and the area is well served by public transport into the centre of Edinburgh. Our "Standard" room was surprisingly spacious, and had a view over the water. The room was very... More

Stayed there for a night. We had a fine stay in nice rooms. Service is good, we would gladly help us to receive some whisky and hold it untill our arrival. The surroundings are also very fine. This includes fine pubs nearby :) I will not hessitate to use this hotel again.

Great offer through Booking.com. Excellent location, no 5 mile track to car park. Hotel car parking is a nightmare in Edinburgh. Staff lovely and Hotel has a warm feel to it. Rooms all good and b/fast tops. Recommend Fishers for seafood and Kings Wark for amazing food across the board. Also Domenicos for seafood/pasta etc and all very close.

Stayed here for two nights ... Was a bit nervous about booking having seen other trip advisor reviews saying the hotel is tired and in need of a refurb but we didn't find that at all. We stayed in a suite (120), which overlooked the front of the hotel and the water - room was huge, massive windows, big bathroom,... More

The best hotel breakfast EVER! Including srambled egg with salmon slices or wonderfully cooked kippers. Huge compliments to the chef. Lovely boutique hotel, walking distance to HMY Britannia and shopping mall which has a cinema. Nice quiet location. The rooms are good, fantastic large free toiletries too. But make sure you give yourself enough time to have a leisurely breakfast,... More
