This place blew me away with its rich fabrics, decor, luxuriousness. It is stunning. I wish I had dressed up more, get out your glad rags ladies and feel like a princess here. The staff are very attentive, the food is fantastic and the wine choice is breath taking. I will never forget this place and the fine dining experience... More

This opulent, luxurious hotel certainly has the elusive "wow" factor with tactile wallpaper, plentiful tea lights, and attentive staff that go the extra mile. Minor slips were more than adequately compensated for and the food in the restaurant, "Rhubarb", was delicious. It's fabulous place to stay and dine in the same location. I suspect this is the best venue for... More

This is a most wonderful place to stay. The setting is fabulous, the rooms are amazing, the food excellent and the staff are the best I've met anywhere - courteous, attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. The room rates are not cheap but are worth every penny.

Following a corporate event in the Stables I recently had the privilege of staying over in the Winston Churchill Suite at Prestonfield House. The suite was out of this world with complimentary champagne, freshly baked cookies, fudge and comfy personalised slippers- ideal after a night of dancing! The staff both in the hotel and the Events Team could not have... More

Fabulous staff, wonderful food and a perfect setting. It was really nice to escape from the bustle of Edinburgh back to this hotel which is very close to the city centre but surrounded by its own parkland so it seems a million miles away. A great find and definitely my favourite Edinburgh hotel.

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. It is superb, and deserving of every one of its five stars. The staff are amazing, so friendly, helpful and professional. The ambience is magnificent, the comfort exceptional. I booked in a tour group (Alison Weir Tours) of 33 for four nights, and everyone in our party was full of praise. Our stay... More

As you drive through the busy Edinburgh streets you have no idea of the stunningly tranquil place that awaits you. Situated and the base of Arthur's Seat surrounded by lush park-lands Prestonfield House Hotel is a gem. As you enter the foyer the staff are your first intimation that this place is special. They are genuinely pleased to see you... More

(Very) fortunate to be staying here as part of a company event; even luckier to be allocated a suite with complimentary champagne, truffles, fruit, fresh cookies and more toiletries than you could possibly ever need (especially as the room had 2 identical fully kitted bathrooms). Staff were excellent; very professional but thankfully not at all fussy or pretentious. Decor of... More
