I have stayed in some amazing hotels in my time but this is among the best - (best for me would be the Dolda grand in Zurich) Prestonfield House is as much an amazing museum/art gallery as it is a hotel. Accommodation, staff, service and food all very good. Can't fault this place and I will be back.

What an amazing hotel, the staff are so welcoming and made us feel relaxed. Sitting on the balcony watching the peacocks and the activity on the lawn was just perfect. The Owners suite at the top of the hotel was like living in a castle, lots of history and at the same time all mod cons. A true oasis in... More

Excellent Scottish show and good food as well as service! The presentation of the Haggis was spectacular thanks to "Cammie"!!! Well done all around ! Beautiful setting, a country feel. The child dancers were so wonderful to behold! It was nice to see traditional pieces being passed down to the youth!

We went for our anniversary and had the most luxurious night. The room was beautiful! My favourite bit was the incredibly deep bath...I had three while we were there even though we only stayed for one night. It was such a treat. We had delicious breakfast in bed and felt very spoilt. If we do a bit of saving we... More

Absolutely fantastic stay, from the moment we drew up in the car we were met by a very pleasant, helpful and non artificial door man who made us feel instantly welcome! This was mirrored by all the staff we then met. Nothing was a problem. A free upgrade was given without asking which was a lovely touch. The meal was... More

We went to prestonfield for the Scottish meal and dancing experience. Well worth the money for this show as part of our group tour bagpipes, dancing and singing as well as the traditional haggis presentation

Having stayed many times over the years and tried all the suites, I thought it time I wrote a review. The service, ambience, decor, and food is superb. Shame most hoteliers don't realise that creating an atmosphere conducive to luxury and relaxation matters. Simply perfect. Some rooms take dogs which is also brilliant.

Three day stay to celebrate husbands 65th. Rural oasis a real wow factor. Decor superb. Staff excellent. Room perfect. Had all evening meals in hotel. Will probably have one and go into town for others in future to vary things a bot. Maybe just beginning to show signs of wear but that's fine. This style of furnishing can handle that.... More

My friend had booked afternoon tea for a birthday treat. I don't think the experience at the Presontfield could have been bettered. The staff were courteous and welcoming. The setting was stunning. The atmosphere was relaxed. The food was delicious and it was no trouble to swap item from the menu to cater for my vegetarian companion. Delicious!

Very beautiful stately home where the you will get the feeling to travel back a few hundred years back in time. Rooms may not be as efficient and convenient as modern hotels, but their unique character definitely makes up for this. Stafff was very friendly and attentive. You get the feeling to be at the country side, but downtown is... More
