Stayed for two nights, a great location, rooms clean, staff friendly, nice bar area. Thought breakfast was overpriced so didn't use the restaurant, feel that most people would eat outside the hotel due to cost. Would stay there again a most enjoyable visit.

If there was the option to choose 4.5 stars I would! Upon check in the staff were lovely, they could see ihad been traveling awhile and after walking to the royal mile from the twin with a big suitcase they could see I was hot so got me a water whilst I waited for my keys. The room was massive!... More

Great location and service. The rooms were comfy and spacious we didn't have a great view but the location on the royal mile made up for it! the castle was literally 10 mins walk away there were bars and restaurants all around. The only thing was that for some reason the internet did not work in our room it worked... More

Bang in the middle of the Royal Mile, you cannot get a better location in Edinburgh. We were on a weekend break and were upgraded to a "business class" room on the front of the hotel, though to us, it looked a fairly standard, reasonably sized and equipped, modern hotel room. The triple glazed window certainly kept out the Saturday... More

Returned after 17 years, to stay in the turret suite. What a disappointment. The room was so tired. Stained carpet and upholstery. Scratched and dented furniture and walls. The staff were exceptional and we were moved to a smaller suite that wasn't as bad. The turret suite is their premier room- how can they charge £360 a night for a... More

We stayed at the hotel at the beginning of May 2013. The location is excellent...just over the Waverley Bridge on the Royal Mile in the old town and just a short walk from the castle. Great looking building from the outside, unfortunately the interior is very corporate....however it does exactly as it says on the tin!! Upgraded to a business... More

The new Raddison Blu looks like it's been there since the 16th century. But inside, everything is new and functional. Unparalleled location, right on High Street and North Bridge - half a block from St. Giles. My room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff was outstanding in courtesy and efficiency. People with rooms in the front complained of noise... More

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the hotel in a classic suite on our silver wedding anniversary. The service we got throughout the stay was exceptional and the staff couldn't have been better. We even got a complimentary bottle of bubbly on arrival. The location of the hotel is very central for the old town - directly on... More

We stopped her in March 2013, the hotel is in a prime location on the Royal Mile, which is great for access to all the best of the tourist attractions, however, be warned that the Royal Mile is busy and noisy 24 hours a day - so be prepared to be woken up in the early hours if your room... More

I recently stayed at this hotel while on vacation in Scotland. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and attentive during the entire stay. The rooms are clean and well decorated with comfortable beds and pillows. As for the location it cannot be beat, almost everything is in walking distance. I would certainly stay at this hotel again.
