We recently stayed here for three nights after booking in the Travelodge sale and only paying £30 for our stay. We were in Edinburgh to celebrate our first wedding anniversary so what we saved on accommodation we spent on a special meal at The Witchery. We found the hotel to be of typical Travelodge standard and had no problems with... More

Arrived on Monday 14th May at 1.45pm after a 3 hour train journey, with one small suitcase. No one on reception, waited 5 minutes before we found a bell 'hidden' behind counter and rang it. I'd clearly interupted something when a rather disgruntled young 'European' dark haired, bespectacled lady appeared. (You know who you are)! I smiled, said Hi and... More

As we were tight for cash we chose to use a travellodge, although I have found in the past for Hostels in Edinburgh to be of a higher standard. Hotel looked very shabby, lots of cigarette butts outside door, couldn't check in till 3pm and out of the door by 10am. The room that we had on the second floor... More

Used this as our last stop on our ride, we were given a family room to allow us to take our bikes in the room. Thesew ere on the first floor which meant getting the bikes in the lift but they went in there no problem. Good cheap accomodation. More

stayed for one night in this hotel, chose it for location and availabilty due to a late decision to go to edinburgh. Few negatives, shower didnt work, bed uncomfortable, very loud traffic noise all night, grumpy staff on reception, handles fell off all the taps in the bathroom, very bad smell of smoke in the room. only positive was it... Stayed there for 6 nights, the receptionist who checked us in was very pleasant, she directed to the lift and explained about the breakfast service in case we wanted to use their restaurant. Our room was the usual standard room for the Travelodge, just the basics as we expected. What we did not expected was the black grime surrounding the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights over the recent bank holiday weekend.... was a bit apprehensive due to the recent mixed reviews.. and a very bad experience at Cardiff Central travelodge... Had stayed here before and had no problems, and pleased to report a pleasant stay this time too. This time we were in a room overlooking the road (last time... More

Centrally located, within easy walking distance of all attractions. For the same price as Easyhotel, the rooms are "normal sized" to this North American - no standing on the bed so your roommate can walk past! I agree with previous reviewers: if you can, book a room in the rear of the hotel. We had a street-view room, and the... More

Spent a couple of nights here and I loved the location; just off the Royal Mile. Shoddy room service though; both a ceiling light and a bedside light needed replacing and on the second day the used towel was not replaced and there were no liners in the bins. All reported to and speedily rectified by the duty manager, but... More

If you don't mind hen parties partying up all night, banging on your door, having noisy sex all night then this is the hotel for you. Rooms very basic, only a bit of soap, no bath mat, no expelair in shower hence the mould on the walls. One pillow each and torn duvets. Disinterested reception staff who have no local... More
