Used this Hotel twice now, last year and this weekend. Fantastic location just off the Royal Mile, it has been ungraded since last year, rooms typical of Travelodge but perfectly suitable for our visit. Car parking is available and early check in both at extra cost. Comfortable and quiet will use again.

My partner booked us a night in this hotel for my birthday and it had everything we needed it for. We stayed in Edinburgh to go to the zoo and it just so happened it was also the Tattoo and Fringe festivals at the same time. Considering this is a busy time for everywhere in Edinburgh the hotel wasn't too... More

No complaints, excellent location, rooms small but have everything you need, staff great, really helpful, breakfast ok, bar functional and open late when you need it. Good base for festival. Broadband good, even the free 30 mins let me download 2 hours worth of iplayer for the train home.

Great budget hotel, just off the royal mile. It is in an excellent position to enjoy all the atmosphere of the Edinburgh festival. The beds were very comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast was great value for money.

So 2 nights in Edinburgh on business and, because of the Commonwealth Games, we had to book something in the heart of Edinburgh (good news), unfortunately the only place available was the Travelodge.I know you get what you pay for but there is so much they could do improve the experience that would cost them nothing - like having a... A well located hotel. Drab exterior. Unwelcoming reception. Staff a bit slack. Room looked well used. Stains on bedding. Some dirt on carpet. Hair left on side. Smell in bathroom. Noisy cobble street.

This is our second time to stay at this hotel. The location is great right near the royal mile. Rooms are clean and very basic. Request a quiet room as rooms near the front of hotel or 1st floor have a lot of street / parking lot noise! Bring your own soap/shampoo as they only have dispensers with soap/body wash-unless... The location was very close to the Royal Mile and excellent for walking to view sights but unfortunately we were there when it was hot (by Edinburgh standards) and we had a room overlooking the street and it was very noisy as the cars traveled over the cobble stones all night, Apart from that the room was clean and the... This is not a luxury hotel and it doesn't claim to be but it is a nice clean budget hotel in a great location. We had 4 rooms - some twin and some triples - good standard of accommodation - each room was uniform -clean bright and beds were all comfortable. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We stayed for a... More

Went to Edinburgh with my boyfriend and wanted a cheap place to stay in the center of the tourist district. Travelodge was cheap but well worth the price! Spent 3 nights there with amazing staff that helped us with any problems and could recommend the best places to visit and eat. The best part was the memory foam mattress, after... More
