I was pleasently surprised by this hotel. The customer service was very friendly and a great all you can eat breakfast was available, if you choose to opt for it. The location is incredible with a five minute easy walk with wheely suitcases from Edinburgh Waverley. Also there are some fun nearby pubs (the World's End on the corner has... more

This was the second time that we have stayed in the travel lodge, while visitng family. The location is second to none right in the heart of Edinburgh next to all the sites, shopping and lots of reastaurants to choose from. The value for money in the travel lodge is excellent and the size of the family rooms are ideal... more

If you're looking an affordable, central and safe location this is your place. The rooms are typical Travelodge with the clean pleasant surrounding you'd expect. We had 6 rooms booked here and every one of them was100%. You're right on the Royal Mile with cafes on your doorstep and more small friendly pubs nearby than you'll ever get the chance... more

Well, first of all I have to comment on the staff who bent over backwards to help me when I was taken ill on arrival. Tammy and her staff were fantastic to me. They are a credit to Travelodge. I asked for a quiet room, because I had been ill and got one. They are happy to oblige where they can.... more

I managed to park on the street just outside the door which was good. I got a room on the first floor but as the room was stuffy I had to sleep with the window open so it was REALLY noisy. The bathroom smelt mouldy and also looked mouldy. I shouldn't really complain as I only paid £19 for a... more

We actually stayed here twice about a week apart, the first time for one night and the second time for 2 nights. Both times got a great supersaver rate, so review is based on those low rates. The first night we got there about 2:40 and were told we couldn't check in until 3. Not really a problem since I... more

We stayed here from 19th to 21st May 2009, booked during their £9 a night promotion. We arrived at the hotel just after 11 am intending to sit in the lobby for a hour and then pay for early check-in from 12. The lady on reception was aware of this and kindly found us a room and checked us in... more

We booked three rooms two family and one double. One room had no toilet roll one other very litte, we asked for more, and were given one roll between us. No plastic cups in bathroom either, was later provided with three placed in one room, obviously one per room not one per occupant. Family room did not have enough pillows... more

Stayed at the Travelodge Edinburgh Central along with 18 friends as part of a stag weekend for 3 nights. Ideal for our needs i.e. excellent location, could hold us all & cheap and cheerful. Very noisey cobbels outside with bad double glazing - don't stay here for a relaxing break. Drinks were cheap and staff friendly. more

I stayed here from Sunday 26th April till Thursday 30th. And all through that time the lifts did not work. Now I'm not in bad shape but when I went up all the stairs to get to my room my legs aching. God know what some people would have been like. Yes they would have helped you up and down with... more
