The jury's inn was in an ideal location for the EMF half marathon and it didn't disappoint. We were met with smiled and genuine support of our run. We immediately asked about breakfast as the event started at 8am and we were told breakfast was going to be open early to accommodate! We even asked about Nutella which was an... More

Excellent location for the station and the start of the half marathon. Staff were helpful in allowing an early check in. Rooms could have been a little cleaner but very comfortable bed. meal in the bar the following day was good

Hotel is ideally located for visiting tourist attractions and going on trips out of town. The hotel was clean and had great wifi available via premium service. Close to the train station. Friendly staff.

I stay here at the weekend ( for one night). The staff were friendly and helpful but the quality of the room was very poor, not clean, poor quality fittings and fixtures and i felt it was very expensive for the quality of the room.

Minutes from the Royal mille, this is a clean, well located and convenient hotel. Staff are nice and helpful. They serve a good breakfast from 7 to 11 am. I will definitely come back to this hotel when I visit back this beautiful and mysterious City.

Lovely couple of days in Edinburgh at this modernish hotel . Room was overlooking the railway station so notice was very obvious, but we could have chosen a room on the other side of the hotel. However great view over the Station to the city. Very close to the Royal Mile, a real highlight. Food was ok, breakfast good, dinner... More

I've stayed here a few times and always enjoyed it. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfy, and if you're lucky you'll get a lovely view of St Andrew's House, Governors House and Princes Street! Good location as well, central to everything and very close to the main train station.

I stayed here for two nights for a business course I was on. The room was nice and quite spacious. Had a set menu in the dining room along with the others from the course and the food was fantastic. The downside was I plugged my laptop into the plug in the wall and switched it on. Heard a crackle... More

Located just off the royal mile, this clean friendly hotels, well managed. Problems are there is very little choice for food, which is over priced but good quality. Breakfast is buffet style, again not too bad and also very little choice. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. A good based to travel from and dine elsewhere.

I arrived at the hotel later in the evening for a one-night stay ahead of a business meeting the next day. The woman at the check-in desk was warm and friendly, and my first impressions of the hotel were good - exactly what I expect from a Jury's Inn. However, when I got to my room I was disappointed. The... More

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
