Stayed here for two nights and chose this hotel as we were travelling by train and it's just a five minute walk from the station. We had a large double room looking out over the front, which was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was extremely good with a very large selection and a particularly good full Scottish... More

Stayed there with my family and really enjoyed the hotel. Confortable, clean and silent rooms. Good Location (very Close to waverly station). Many options at the bar (However our Burgers were a little bit overcooked). Would definetely reccomend Though the price is a little bit high.

Stayed in Jurys Inn Edinburgh for 3 nights and it was incredible. Rooms were spotlessly clean and had all of the facilities needed. It is so central, everything is not much more than a 5 minute walk and staff are very helpful when looking for directions. It is about 30 minutes from the airport. I would recommend taking a taxi... Did I mention the location? Nice balance of value and central location.Travelled here with my partner and my 75 year old mom (who I would not describe as spry). It's close enough to the train station that she was able to walk with her suitcase, and the proximity to a main transit hub makes day trips a cinch. Proximity to... More

Very friendly staff, We were offered a front room with a view and also a back room with no view but no noise. We took the back room as you are not in the room that long. Stayed 3 nights bed and breakfast. Room clean and spacious for 3 beds comfortable (the rooms could be doing with an upgrade) tea... More

Lovely weekend spent in Edinburgh, so many things to do - not enough time to do them. We will have to make a return journey :) The hotel is centrally located to all the the shops, museums, the royal mile and castle. Excellent

Great location breakfast really good and plenty choices. room was good but did not like layout of the bed, which meant that someone was always getting squashed against the wall, only way out was to get to the end of the bed. Not so easy to do. Otherwise cant fault our stay there.

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
