Such a great hostel, friendly atmosphere, tidy rooms and bathrooms and lots of space! That doesn't even mention the location! So central, near Edinburgh castle and The Royal Mile, we walked everywhere from here(when the wind wasn't blowing us around) highly recommend for anyone on a budget who still wants convenience. Breakfast wasn't included, and what you paid for wasn't... More

The hostel is situated a stone throw away from the Castle, easy walking distance to everything. We had a private room, the room itself is very small, but we didn't care much. Nice breakfast options and we loved the atmosphere.

Stay here for 2 nights and lets be honest i can't fault one thing. Booked a double which was small but cosy. The room was spotless, The bathrooms are clean. With 3 different common area's as well as a huge kitchen there is plenty of space to relax. The staff are excellent. Anything you forgot or need they were happy... More

I booked in for a few nights and ended up staying long term. Awesome hostel, great staff, great location and everything. Free wifi, spacious kitchen and good atmosphere. Also, you can work for accommodation for 2 hours per night! Go! Stay! Enjoy!

Stayed here in the single sex rooms of four. As other reviews have described, these rooms are a little smaller because of the roof. However the view out the window more than made up for it. Each bed has a safe and a locker with adequate space which is something that is always appreciated at hostels. The hostel itself was... More

I remember staying here 10years ago when I backpacked Europe. It was awesome. The rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was fun and awesome. I really enjoyed my stay and have recommended this place to anyone I know going to Edinburgh. It was the best hostel I stayed in of 4 months worth of backpacking :)

The rooms are spacious as well as the hostel itself. Pleny of rooms to relax after visiting the beautiful town of edimburg. The staff is very helpful and nice. The best thing is the location, right in the old town center close to every bars and clubs. We had a great time and would definetly recommend it!

I stayed here for two nights in January 2015. The hostel is in a great location - it's literally only several hundred meters from the castle, and it's just off the Royal Mile. It's a very large hostel, but has a good atmosphere. The rooms are themed (such as a Beatles room, a Star Wars room, a Scottish slang room,... More

Stayed here for two nights on a trip to Edinburgh with some friends. Getting there from the airport wasn't too bad, but we spent a bit of time wandering before we got our bearings. In the middle of winter (unsurprisingly) the wind and chill factor make it a tough walk to get to, but the heating in the hostel keeps... More

I stayed here for a couple days between arriving from London and going on a bus tour around Scotland and then heading back to London. The staff is very helpful and the luggage room near the reception is quite helpful since the place doesn't have elevators in case you have heavy bags. The rooms themselves are quiet nice, the beds...
