I will recommend this hostel to any person I know going to Edinburgh. The Staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were fine. The showers, though they were small, were just fine for the purpose. Nice and clean. And the hostel was situated just across from the Edinburgh castle. What could be better than that? :) more

The staff was some of the friendliest I encountered in all of the UK. They were more than helpful, friendly, and courteous. The rooms were spacious for a hostel, and there was a distinct lack of "hostel smell". The rooms were painted and lively, and the showers had deadbolts on them. Best hostel I stayed at. more

This hostel is definetley one of the best! There's a massive common room and free pool! The staff are fellow young travellers and the place is very clean and friendly. There's a small computer room for internet usage as well as a kitchen. The rooms are fairly good and the showers were instantly hot... Great after walking in 5 degree... more

This is a great hostel if youre in Edinburgh to enjoy the sights and nightlife... not necessarily if you wanna sleep :) But we had a great time, met some other cool travelers, the staff was helpful and friendly. We and our belongings felt safe, and you can't beat the price or the proximity to Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile... more

location, location, location. well not this time or ever again. terrible. a bunch of wasters floating around the place like kings and queens of the backpacker world. the breakfast, well soggy bread tossed out of a cardboard box onto a plastic plate. shower was a waste of time. i felt dirtier coming out of it than going in. the bed... more

This hostel really has everything you need: friendly staf, great location, clean rooms and bathroom, organized fun activities (movie nights, free city tours,...) and safety. I would defenitely recomed this hostel to everyone I know. All rooms are quite big and clean and all the bads have funny names like Mrs Grummpy, Mrs Tickle,... And what is the most important... more

A friend and I stayed here for about a week this summer and absolutely loved it! The beds are comfortable enough and the room was spacious. Lockers are provided for your valuables (theyre not big enough to store all your clothes and such- but honestly, we felt totally safe leaving that stuff out in the room). The bathrooms are co-ed,... more
