Location is perfect. Close to the Royal Mile, the Castle, camera Obscura, Edinburgh Dungeons, the airlink bus to the AirPort and Waverly Bridge. The double rooms are good if you want privacy. 15% discount on breakfast at cafe.

My friend and I actually booked this hostel for two nights on the first night itself (actually showing up there) and we just paid 12 Euro for a 4 bedroom which I think was quite amazing. The receptionists weren't the friendliest unfortunately, it felt like they didn't want to be in there (either really tired/hangover or just wanted to be... More

I stayed in a twin en-suite room with my friend for 2 nights last week. As we were in a private room rather than dorms, we were in a separate building, but it wasn't even 2 minutes from the hostel. There is a small cafe next door that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as cocktails and offer a... More

was only stay 2 weeks in Edinburgh, Scotland to see my friends. So it just me so this place was perfect. If you don't mind sharing a kitchen or bathroom facilities you will be fine. It was a great adventure for me as I had never been overseas alone. I'm from the USA. Very friendly people. Met some people I... More

We are not ones to complain and we know that hostels aren't always 'luxurious' but this was the worst hostel stay we've had in two months. To be honest, the staff were lovely. We had no problems with them. It was our room. Our room was in a separate building in a small side street and our room was 30cm... More

We visited the hostel for only one evening but would defiantly stay again. The desk could not have been nicer or more helpful. Because we traveled with a small child, we stayed in an apartment down the street from the central location. The beds were comfortable, bath spotless, and kitchenette perfect. The price a little high, but our stay was... More

I'm really fed up of reading negative comments on tripadvisor about hostels. You get what you pay for here, if you don't like it, book a hotel for twice the price! For those of you out there who want to read a realistic review of your hostel, this is it: We stayed here for two nights from 27th - 29th... More

We stayed in a private double room, in the other building (there is a main building with reception at the entrance, and another just around the corner). It was very basic and quite small, but we only stayed for one night so it was fine. The lighting was quite dim but we had a TV with a good choice of... More

A very basic hostel. The upstairs bar/hangout room is really neat! A great place to meet some cool people with similar travel interests. Cleanliness was average, and the bathroom showers were a little disappointing (you have to continuously hit the shower button to have the water on), but stepping out of the hostel and looking at Edinburgh Castle was phenomenal!... Stayed here for one night a few weeks ago as myself and my brother missed the last train home. Check in was tougher than getting through airport security. We shared an 8 bed dorm and were given a locker which did not lock. The room was stinking and beds were creaky and very smelly. No where to charge your phone.... More
