I have stayed at the Bonham a lot. I mean A LOT, for days, weeks on end. I love it, it is the next best thing to being at home, but the views from the Bonham are better. Ask for a room at the rear of the hotel, the views across north Edinburgh and out across the Firth of Firth... More

I booked this as a surprise for my girlfriend, The Hogmanay break. It was for two nights. We had stayed in the Blythswood a few times so figured the sister hotel would be a safe bet. I was very disapointed with my stay. The room (number 204) was very shabby and the furniture was worn bare in places. lampshades hanging... More

There are very few places which manage to maintain a high standard over a number years; The Bonham is one of the few. Again, we took advantage of the 'January deal' - brilliant value for money considering the type of hotel. We were offered an upgrade to a suite [for a small extra charge] which we took having stayed in... More

OK I've wanted to spend Hogmanay in Scotland for a while. Decided as the last minute to book the trip and booked The Bonham because it was the very last hotel that would cost me under $1000 to stay at for 3 nights. What a GREAT find. We arrived late on the 30 December and it felt like they were... More

The Bonham is well situated in the New Town, and the car park is a real advantage in this area. Our room on the second floor had a high ceiling and huge windows with a fabulous view. It was slightly chilly when we arrived as the radiator wasn't on, even on a cold January night, but at least there was... More

We stayed for the Hogmanay package, 30th Dec - 1st Jan including gala dinner on 30th and three course dinner on 31st. We had a superior room on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel, which was fantastic, with a great view. Lovely room and bathroom. Decor throughout feels traditional and Scottish (e.g. tweed chairs and curtains) but... More

We stayed at the Bonham for 3 nights in between Christmas and New Year. Perfect location only a 10 minute stroll to Princes Street. Staff were very friendly and polite. Breakfast was ok - nothing overly special, but the evening food was brilliant. The hotel has a real warm atmosphere to it. The room was a little on the small... More

Enjoyable stay...we were late checking in and given the last available room (mid floor at front). The bathroom was a little 'fungi' and the rest of the room a little shabby including a broken light. They were very apologetic, seemed to understand this room wasn't up to scratch and the next day moved us to the best room in the... More

All the staff are friendly and immaculately dressed. The room was spotless, warm and comfortable, with all you need for your stay. The hotel was beautifully decorated and the breakfast was plentiful, with something for everyone; we ate at about 8am though, so probably beat the rush. We didn't have dinner, so I cannot comment on that. The hotel is... More

I had no idea of hotels in Edinburgh and relied on TA and other sites to find a hotel for two nights with our teenage boys. Was looking for something special, not too expensive, comfortable, conveniently located. Could not have made a better selection. Already before arriving I received an email to make sure they had all the names and... More
