Stayed at The Bonham this week for 3 nights, the staff could not have been more kind and courteous. Yes The Bonham decor is a little tired in places and could do with a bit of update but the place was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very kind and helpful even though the hotel was busy, the restaurant manager... More

Stayed for one night at what is a well located hotel yet in a relatively quiet location. Staff very pleasant and room good enough though bed a little lumpy! Had reserved a table for dinner based upon menu shown on website though choice appeared markedly different on the night and we therefore chose to eat elsewhere. Breakfast pretty good though... More

We paid more for a better room and it was full of light (despite the Edinburgh gloom) and had a picture perfect view. Soooo quiet! The included breakfast was quite good, although repetitious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Yes, it takes a few minutes to get to Rose Street for a drink or dinner, but the walk back... More

Don't use your satnav to find this place use the whole address they eventually talked me in! But more helpful they could not be nice chap took the car round to the car park and left us to check in. No reservation on system but they weren't full thankfully and checked us in at the previously agreed rate. Upgraded to... More

We stayed one night as a late booking. Our room was small but reasonable. We were woken the next morning at 8am with someone hoovering right outside the room. Breakfast was supposedly continental only, despite being described as 'includes breakfast' on the booking site. We arrived for breakfast around 9.30 and it finished at 10am. There were only doughy bread... More

We loved our stay in Edinburgh. This delightful hotel is a few minutes walk to Prices Street and then quite central for other activities. The staff on reception were friendly and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Our room, on floor 3 was stunning and so comfortable. Just can't fault our stay, just wished it was longer.

For a boutique hotel it felt large and impersonal. It has 49 rooms and it felt like there were more, always lots of people around. Our room was as described (22 square metres including the bathroom) but was so over-furnished there was no room for us. Why does a room this small need a kingsize bed, 2 bedside tables, a... More

Can't find anything negative to say about this hotel. Every person wants a decent night's sleep especially when away from home. This is it! I stayed here twice, 10 days apart. First stay found me in a room on the top floor. Comfortable, spotlessly clean, excellent water pressure, piping hot water shower, clean remote control for TV. The second stay... More

The Bonham afternoon tea is excellent. We have been on several occassions and have just booked again, the staff have always been excellent and the food is really good plenty of it as well. My only comment and I have said this before on a couple of reviews that the leather armchairs need to be re-covered they are very shabby... More

Stayed on a business trip for 2 nights in August. Whilst the room was a bit small and a little awkward to work in, it was spotless, quiet and otherwise very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with both buffet and hot food to order. Super location as well. I would recommend the hotel more for pleasure than business.
