We saw a bargain deal to stay in a king room so snapped up the oportunity. We was not dissapointed loads of wood panelling sweeping staircases. The room was great (not a great view) very clean with huge bed and good bathroom complete with fluffy dressing gowns ect. We cannot comment on the breakfast as this was not included but... more

Where do I start...Okay, from the web it looks very inviting with a pool, a spa and rooms with castle views...However in reality, be prepared to pay £50 to get a sauna and jacuzzi. The pool itself has time limits for children!!? What? Are you kidding...Its hardly child friendly. The shop does not cater for any swimming aids for children... more

This hotel is impeccable. I loved it. The staff were so so friendly, we arrived extremely early in the morning and they staff made a room available to us within an hour, we just had breakfast is the stunning Terrace resturaunt with glorious food. Our room was on the Executive 6th Floor, but seemed to be the only room that... more

We traveled to the hotel on Saturday and got lost with all the road works. Phoned hotel and Stuart stayed on the phone nearly fifteen minutes giving us directions until we reached the hotel. As soon as we entered the hotel we loved it, the coal fire, the beautiful staircase and most of all the welcome we received from the... more

I'm often in Edinburgh for business and whilst the Sheraton is not the most luxurious, nor the most modern, it's very consistent. The service is always excellent. I often arrive with camera equipment packed into flight cases, and the concierge team spot these every time and hurry out with a number of trolleys. The are put in my room and... more

Aside from the fact that there is an unreasonable charge of 25 pounds to enjoy the hot tub :( - we found the Sheraton to be a lovely hotel. The beds were like marshmellow clouds, the staff was wonderful and the location was convenient to everything. The breakfast buffet is pricey but there are other options. The pool is quite... more

The hotel itself is stunning. Tastefully and luxuriously decorated throughout the public areas it certainly makes an impression. The check-in staff were polite and help and the concierge was more than eager to help us with our bags. Our room was large and comfortably furnished. The bed was HUGE and very comfortable, the room overall was clean and pleasant, as... more

We stayed in this hotel for a long weekend. Staff was nice with check in, but interior rooms is outdated for a 4/5 star. Rooms very dark and the bathrooms were unacceptable old for us. Hall very noisy. Sheraton needs to upgrade this property. One plus: location is fine, down the hill behind the castle. more

Rooms are shabby, tired, dirty and in urgent need of renovation, we changed our room and it was slightly better but not 5 star. Bathrooms are adequate but towels are rough but not the fluffy sheets you would expect for 5 star. Reception staff are rude and unhlepful and demand ID everytime you want something. If you have tea in... more

My wife and I spent a few days in Edinburgh. We stayed at the Sheraton Grand. Room size was adequate. The bed was very comfortable. All the staff we had contact with were helpful and friendly. We were able to walk to the Edinburgh Castle and there were dozens of pubs within a short walking distance. All in all, I... more
