A special B&B conveniently located in the heart of Edinburgh's new town run by Denise, a friendly and perfect hostess. Treated as a guest in her family home which was kept immaculate and full of homely touches. We were offered the use of a super large sitting room where we were served tea on arrival but as we stayed during... More

So happy we chose 20 Albany Street for our base in Edinburgh, rather than a hotel. This B and B has it all, a great location, walkable distance from the castle, and all else in this great city. We stayed in the James Craig suite and it suited our needs very well, a comfy king bed and updated bathroom. And... More

Thank you so much for your very flattering review, it is much appreciated and I am pleased you have taken home some good memories of your stay at 20 Albany Street. Thank also for pointing out the lighting in your room, a very useful suggestion and I have changed the bulbs in the bedside lamps to a much bigger wattage.... More

My friend and I stayed for two nights in July for my birthday. Booked after watching four in a bed and was not disappointed .Denise is a great host and nothing was to much trouble, room was great and amazing breakfast, felt like home from home.would book again rather than over priced hotels with lack of personal touches.

Owned and managed by Denise, this is an outstanding, conveniently-located B&B in an outstanding City. It is close to the main train station; bus- stops for several routes; a stop for the new tram system which runs right through town and out to the airport; an easy walk to main attractions and close to excellent neighborhood restaurants and pubs. The... More

We have recently had a 5 night stay at 20 Albany street, the room was lovely and clean and had everything you could wish for. Denise was very helpful and informative on all the things we wanted to do. Breakfast was delicious and we were always met with a smile in the mornings. We will be back !!!

We stayed at 20 Albany Street for three nights earlier this week - the Robert Adams suite comprises a very large room with the biggest and most comfortable king-size++ double bed. The bathroom was very well appointed with bath and power shower. The unique selling point to 20 Albany Street is the host Denise -she greets with a smile, tea,... More

A beautifully presented establishment that offers class and luxury. Upon arrival Denise presented us with a pot of tea, some home made chocolate brownies as well as a wee dram! The rooms are stunning and spotless. Full of character and a joy to behold, probably the nicest place we have ever stayed in. Not only did we have a huge... More

We stayed here on a recent road trip through England and Scotland. We splurged for something more upmarket and this place certainly fit the bill! Simply sumptuous! With a nice slice of lemon cake and whisky from Denise, the absolutely amazing host, we got our visit to Edinburgh off on the right note. Denise takes a true luxury B&B and... More

An amazing find and the best place to stay in Edinburgh, it is just minutes walk from town and perfectly located with parking on the road outside. The bedrooms are incredibly comfortable with lovely touches of detail such as little jars of chocolates and home made tablet and a personally signed welcome letter on arrival. The breakfast choice is hugely... More

We stayed at 20 Albany Street recently on a trip driving through England and Scotland. We were thrilled to find a quiet, relaxing B&B so convenient to the sights we wanted to see in the city. At 20 Albany, Denise really offers the best of both worlds--we had every comfort we would in a luxury hotel, and didn't have to... More
