The Cameron Toll Travelodge is basic but comfortable, clean, with good bus connections to most places in Edinburgh. I arrived on a late train from Oxford & when I got to the Travelodge there was no-one at Reception to let me in. I rang & knocked & had to spend a long time waiting outside in the cold until I... The hotel located in front of a convenient bus stop only 10 mins ride to the city. A Saintbury store is in the shopping mall across from hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful providing all information touring around the city, weather forecast, bus schedule and money exchage(bills from scotland is not going to be accepted in London).... We have stayed here before, excellent value, clean, warm and comfortable beds very helpful and pleasant staff, bus stop at the door to town with regular service. Free parking in a large car park is a big plus.

Basic, clean, comfortable and good value for money to boot. I stayed for three nights whilst at a conference in the University (a short walk away). The hotel is only a couple of miles out of Edinburgh city centre, easily walkable if the weather is good or a short bus or taxi ride away. This is one of the nicer... More

You always know what you are going to get with Travelodge. This one is one of the larger ones, and it has had some recent refurbishment. It is very convenient for visitors to the nearby university buildings on West Mains Rd. Very good bus links to the city centre, but remember you need exact change for the bus (£!.50, no... More

We stayed for Hogmanay and walked from the train station, not realising just how far away it was (35/40 mins). When we got there, the staff on reception were lovely and gave us a list of buses we could get into the centre of Edinburgh (only £1.50 too!). The rooms are standard, but clean and have everything you need and... More

We booked this easily on line three months ago. Got a great deal. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The bed was comfortable, the shower worked really well; instant hot/cold water. Very easy to get into the city. Plenty of parking space.

This is a much nicer Travelodge than others that I have stayed in, including others around Edinburgh. Rooms were standard and with few amenities, but it was very quiet and easy to sleep since it is a bit outside of the city. Everything is clean and smells fresh. There is even the option of eating within the hotel. There is... More

We had our pet dog with us as she had a follow up vet's appointment in Edinburgh. Travelodge charge £20 a stay for a pet, so the more nights you stay, the cheaper it is for the pet. We've used this hotel before and keep coming back to it as the staff are very helpful and friendly. We've had snacks... More
