We had an overnight stay on the 23rd September. Its in a great central location on Rose street, we were given a huge spacious room and the beds were immaculate for £60 per night . After travelling all day it was lovely to sit down to a nice cup of tea and just relax. Nightshift reception as booked us a... More

If you want a peaceful nights sleep do not stay in room 104, Travelodge, Edinburgh Central on a Friday night. The noise from the pub below continued until 1am, not even the TV on full volume could drown out the sound of the music. We were woken at 7.30am by empty bottles being emptied into the bins on the street.... More

Loction good but Meuse Lane is better ,Room 110 gets a lot of noise from the pub next door when a band is on and kept us awake.Pointless getting out of bed , getting dressed to complain. What are they going to do go in the pub and ask to turn the music dow. I don't think so. And as... More

Having stayed at Waterloo Place Travelodge a couple of years back I felt a bit 'out in the sticks' even though it is pretty central. Rose Street made EVERYTHING on our door step, perfect for shoppers & diners!

Found this little gem on the travelodge website and decided to book due to the location and price was around £67 for the night. When we first arrived on rose street we walked past the hotel as its so well hidden. Check in was due at 3pm but asked if we could keep our heavy lugage behind the desk until... More

Both mornings before 8am there is a lot of noise outside the hotel. The large bottles banks get emptied and it wakes you up, then you stay awake by all of the other noises. Also a £10 charge to check into the room at 14:15 instead of 15:00 is a bit off and the baggage room is a small space... More

On a recent trip to the UK I stayed at Travelodge hotels in two different cities. They were very similiar, but not identical. This particular hotel in Edinburgh is in a very good location close to many attractions and transportation. The tram from the airport stops about 2 blocks from this hotel, and the hotel is close to the Waverley... More

Dad had stayed a few weeks ago and booked this room for us, asking for a family room with a view. We were not disappointed when we returned. In fact the same lady was on reception who had booked the room for dad and remembered him and was very friendly and helpful. It seemed like quite a way to get... More

The positives are that its a great location right in the middle of the city and the reception staff were exceptionally helpful. The bed linen was clean as was the bathroom but the room was just so very basic. We requested a room on the top floor, which was honoured, but it was a really balmy night and even with... More

There are several Travelodges around Edinburgh and, never having visited the city before, I was unsure of which one was in the best location. I'm definitely glad that I picked this one! It was in a fantastic location, down a lovely pedestrianised street really close to Waverley Station and Princes Street (both less than 5 minutes away), and near restaurants... More
