On a recent trip to the UK I stayed at Travelodge hotels in two different cities. They were very similiar, but not identical. This particular hotel in Edinburgh is in a very good location close to many attractions and transportation. The tram from the airport stops about 2 blocks from this hotel, and the hotel is close to the Waverley... More

Dad had stayed a few weeks ago and booked this room for us, asking for a family room with a view. We were not disappointed when we returned. In fact the same lady was on reception who had booked the room for dad and remembered him and was very friendly and helpful. It seemed like quite a way to get... More

The positives are that its a great location right in the middle of the city and the reception staff were exceptionally helpful. The bed linen was clean as was the bathroom but the room was just so very basic. We requested a room on the top floor, which was honoured, but it was a really balmy night and even with... More

There are several Travelodges around Edinburgh and, never having visited the city before, I was unsure of which one was in the best location. I'm definitely glad that I picked this one! It was in a fantastic location, down a lovely pedestrianised street really close to Waverley Station and Princes Street (both less than 5 minutes away), and near restaurants... More

A lovely room in a central location, just one block from Hanover St and Princes St. My room was clean & spacious with a lot of light coming in from huge windows. The girls at the desk I met were genuinely interested in my trip. However, there was no bar fridge in the room I had, airconditioning or ability to... More

Booked into the Travelodge quite easy considering the Fringe was on. We travelled to watch the Tattoo. (Tattoo a bit disappointing) Hotel very well placed in the centre of Rose Street among restaurants, bars and shops. Our room was huge, on the top floor , very clean and quiet considering the position. No breakfast available but there are many lovely... More

Visited during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to take in some shows. Travelodge jumped on the overpricing bandwagon that you expect during the festival, and we paid about 50% over the price you would expect to pay at other times of the year. The room was pokey, and due to a completely insane siting of the doorstop in the middle of... More

We stayed here one night (14th August) while on a brief trip. The staff were very friendly. The hotel generally and our room was spotlessly clean. As usual for Travelodge its had the new makeover with ultra comfortable beds and 4 big fluffy pillows. Our room was at the corner of the building Room 105, and the room was huge.... More

Great hotel and a great location. Rose street had a lot of great places we could eat and we could explore the city mostly on foot. Edinburgh was a great city with a small town feel. The castle on the top of the hill was such a sight to see. Our room was so spacious and cozy and clean. We... More

The hotel was ideally situated for visiting Edinburgh and was within easy walking distance of all the attractions, close to all the shops, pubs, restaurants and bars, with lots of entertainment for all tastes, with the tattoo a must see experience
