Sue the proprietor was lovely and made my stay very nice. The rooms are fantastic - very warm and cosy. Lots of nice touches like comfortable linen, chocolate and home made flap jacks. Bathroom had really nice toiletries. Breakfast was excellent - I had scrambled eggs, salmon and some bread. Some of the best scrambled eggs I've had in a... More

Six Brunton Place should be an object lesson to all hotels and guest houses that aspire to 5 stars. Very few come close to achieving the simple chemistry that makes this a superb stay. Quality, simplicity, focus on detail, customer service; which is second to none and that basic recognition of you as a valued customer. I doubt if you... More

I cannot rate this b and b highly enough. The house is a beautiful Georgian building and the interior betrays the artistic and architectural training of its owner, being in immaculately good taste. Sue could not be more welcoming. She let us check our bags in at the very very early arrival time of 8am and insisted on giving us... More

It is hard to say enough good about this guest house. First-class hotels normally don't have as well-furnished rooms. The complimentary flapjacks are the best I've ever had and I tried many in the five years I lived in the British Isles. There is even complimentary wine in the lounge. The breakfast was fantastic. For what you get, the price... More

Although its expensive the phrase goes you get what you pay for. You definitely get what you pay for here. Sue, the owner, couldn't be any nicer. The place is intimate, homely, has a great atmosphere and is furnished to a very high standard. The breakfast is fantastic and I'm definitely booking again. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Have just returned home from Edinburgh after living four nights at the Six Brunton Place Guest House and can highly recommend this place. With just four lovely rooms, a superb breakfast, beautiful garden and a superb hostess named Sue makes us want to go back there. The best with the place, is that it is not right in the center,... Six Brunton Place Guest House is definitely worth a visit. The house is amazing and the rooms are lovely. Our room was in the basement with a view in the garden. It was very spacious and beautifully decorated; the bathroom was spacious and had everything you could ask for, bathtub, shower (a big one), underfloor heating. You can see in... More

Two friends and I stayed here in early December. It was a bit pricey, but we enjoyed our stay so much, and had such a relaxing, wonderful time here. As everyone has said, Sue's attention to detail is one of the most outstanding aspects of this guest house: the flapjack, the tea, the chocolates on the dresser every day... The... More

We have stayed at 6 Brunton place now 3 times and each time has been excellent. Sue is extremely accomodating and welcoming which we particularly appreciate as a family. The rooms are very well equipped and have a very luxurious feel! The breakfast was delicious, as were the homemade flapjacks. We even managed to escape armed with the recipe! The... More

I stayed at Six Brunton Place with my daughter and would highly recommend it to anybody. The house is gorgeous with lovely art on the walls. The decor feels modern but the palette is classic Farrow and Ball heritage - classy and understated. We stayed in the twin room that opens into the garden. Wonderful! Bedlinen was crisp with a...
