Have meant to review Hillside Crescent for some time but things have been against me. We love staying there and want to return again and again. The rooms are brilliant and decorated beautifully. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and the bathrooms pretty amazing - so much better than home! The welcome is fantastic - Elaine is a wonderful host. Breakfast... More

This is a beautiful house. Decor and fittings are exquisite. We had the enormous room at the front. It was extremely comfortable. You just sank into the bed at the end of a tiring day. Nothing was too much trouble for Elaine. She noticed a bottle of wine in our room and when we returned found wine glasses waiting. Breakfast... More

We have already stayed here twice before and are going back in September. Absolutely fabulous accomodation and what a welcome and breakfast from Elaine. I cannot think of any improvement that could be made. Well done to everyone concerned in this gorgeous hotel - because it's more than any old B and B !!!

Due to problems with our flight, we ended up losing a day out of our honeymoon, and unfortunately it came out of our time at Two Hillside Crescent. The room was large and spacious, as was the bathroom, that also had a very nice and large clawfoot tub. Calton Hill was just outside the front door, and with just a... More

My Stepson and I really enjoyed our visit, The bedrooms were lovely , very minimilist. Breakfast was a delight , as was the big central table , which encouraged guests to talk to each other. The only slight prob was we had to wait for one of our rooms as training was going on, yet not really a hitch as... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Beautiful building, our room was huge, peaceful, clean and well maintained. Couldn't fault the breakfast. The homemade seeded bread was amazing, as was the Skye black pudding. Nice touch to have a gigantic table for all to sit around too. Big enough to have a blether with other guests or to keep yourselves to yourselves.... More

Using Two Hillside Crescent as a base for the Bank Holiday stay in Edinburgh was an excellent decision. Perfectly placed to explore the city, No 2 offers peace and quite away from the hustle and bustle of this beautiful City. Elaine, Brian and Margaret are excellent hosts. Fantastic home made Soda bread for breakfast was especially nice. Why would you... More
