My partner and I stayed at The Hedges for 3 days in June. The B&B is well located within walking distance of the Royal Mile (about 10-15 minutes and a little uphill) and close to the very reasonably priced and frequent bus service and taxi ranks. The B&B (and our room) was very plush, spotlessly clean and nicely decorated with... More

My wife and I were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary in Edinburgh. Perfect location, convenient for Waverley, the sights and shopping. Fantastic breakfast, spotlessly clean rooms, very quiet location. Comfortable bed, unbelievably good bathroom/shower area. If all of that is not enough, Heather was the perfect host, could not do enough for us and was very welcoming. No need to... More

My wife and I stayed at the Hedges Guest House for 7 days - split between the beginning and end of our three week trip to Edinburgh and the Highlands. We were very pleased with our choice. A spotless and comfortable setting, delicious food (I loved the porridge!), perfect location for visiting the sites and, importantly, Heather was a very... More

We stayed three night at the Hedges and were delighted with our stay. Heather is a great host and was helpful in every way. The room is a good size, bright and cheery and well fitted. It is on the main floor so lugging baggage is no problem. The home cooked breakfast is delicious and lots of choices. It is... More

We stayed at The Hedges B&B 26-29th March, as part of a joint Birthday holiday. From the outset Heather and Ian made us feel so welcome. The room was beautifully furnished, comfortable and with all mod cons. The breakfasts were simply divine. Excellent choices and freshly prepared. We weren't able to stay for the breakfast on our last day as... More

We stayed at the B&B for three days and fall in love with the place from the first moment. Everything is perfect, Heather, the owner, takes care of every single Detail. Rooms are spacious, confortable, charming and very clean. When you arrive you will have fresh flowers and chocolates in your room as kind of welcome. The bathroom is modern,... More

What a wonderful place - it feels like a family visit - Heather is really lovely and has great advice on what to do in the wonderful town of Edinburgh (incl. very nice pubs). The rooms are lovely and everything down to the little details is just right! I would always come back to the Hedges when visiting Edinburgh again... More

We stayed at the Hedges on Friday 21st March 2014, sadly only for one night. The location is brilliant for access to the centre of Edinburgh. Our reason for saying was a visit to the Playhouse theatre, which was a five minute walk away. In the other direction, again a few minutes walk away, is Holyrood Palace and the Scottish... More
