Disappointed with standard of presentation, very basic although on pictures looks modern. Needs redec, pictures hung lower, missing curtain hooks replaced including the hook on wall for tie backs. Don't think it's been updated for a while. Minimum equipment in kitchen, no champagne flutes 3 old type wine glasses. No bath mat, shower head or seal on shower screen. not... More

We could not get any better apartment from this one!! We visited Edinburgh for 4 days in October, 2014. Right from the booking, Armando was very friendly and cooperative. And is has the BEST location one can ever get in Edinburgh!! It is 3 mins from Railway station, 5 mins from Scott Monument, 5-6 mins from all the Scot tour... More

Stayed here recently with friends. The location is one of the best in Edinburgh. Situated right on the royal mile overlooking the street which is constantly buzzing with tourists. There is a tour company situated right across the road. Easy walking distance to the castle, the palace, Princes street and the train station. The apartment is very well appointed with... More

We had our family of 8 stay at the fantastic Dublin St 3 brm apartment - great value in a great, spotless apartment with such a lovely welcome. The added bonus was 3 bathrooms and central city - would highly recommend, especially for large groups - thankyou Armando - we had a wonderful stay.

I booked the apartments at 16a York Place for a stag weekend in Edinburgh for 8 lads and we weren't disappointed. Fantastic location. Beautiful apartments. Helpful member of staff to introduce us to the apartment and hand over the keys. Highly recommended as a comfortable base to explore the city.

We stayed at the Playhouse apartment with two families. The apartment is actually a small house, which we found to be very cosy. Its 4 bedrooms are comfortable, clean and well sized. The living room is relatively small. We were met by a very friendly and helpfull person. As requested baby cots had been set up, so the infants in... More

Arrived as a group of 8 women, away for the weekend and at first glance, was a little disappointed that the apartment was the basement apartment. This disappointment soon disappeared when we went in. We were greeted by a lovely and very helpful gentleman who explained many of the local sights. The apartment itself was beautiful. It was spacious and... More

We stayed here on a short mid-week break to visit the Christmas Markets. The location was fantastic, right on the Royal Mile, 5 mins walk up to the Castle or down to Princes Street (where the markets were) and also the train station. The markets were lovely, not too crowded (like Manchester) and the Ferris Wheel was a great way... More

My family loved this little condo right on the Royal Mile. We were visiting Edinburgh during the Fringe Festival and you have first row seats to all of the entertainment. Wonderful location. In addition, the condo was very roomy, clean and quite comfortable. They also included a continental breakfast one morning. The owner met us right on time and was... More

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
