this hotel was nice but they nickel and dime you to death. small rooms. no movie channels or anything on the tv. spotty internet that goes off every 30 mins. they charged my friend 15 pounds to borrow a plug adapter. it does have very impeccable service though, and a nice bar. we paid 125 pounds for one room, not... more

The only downside to this hotel was the size of the double room - slightly on the small side. The bathroom was lovely with a monsoon shower and roll top bath. Food delicious and staff very attentive. Nice location slightly away from the centre so not too much noise. more

Our top floor suite (Veuve Cliquot) was just plain gorgeous with both a fabulous separate bathroom and freestanding bathtub in the bay window of the bedroom. Ate at the Bistro. Busy and quite noisy - making it at times difficult to have a conversation without shouting. Food was good - partner had haddock cassoullet which she enjoyed. I had a rib-eye steak which was excellent, tender and flavoursome. Desserts lovely - but £7 for a panna cotta seems a bit stiff. Very helpful and knowlegeable sommelier.... more
