You really can't get a better location for this hotel. It is incredibly central and near all that Edinburgh has to offer. It was very noisy during the Festival but there again the whole of Edinburgh is very noisy during the Festival. It has all the touches of the HduV chain and the room was excellent. The service was very... More

I have enjoyed other properties in this group. This fails. The room is so dark I have gone out to buy a torch to see in my suitcase. The room is so small we can't unpack and the wardrobe is a small coat cupboard. When anyone walks past the walls are so thin you think they are in the room.... More

We came up to Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival and wanted someplace central but also an oasis of calm, quiet, and professionalism, and we found it at the Hotel du Vin on Bristo Place. The courtyard there was perfect, and the front desk staff was very accommodating, and we ended up in one of the suites (Krug) on the 3rd... More

We had a standard room which was very well appointed but small. Really comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent with a very freh buffet supplememted by a good choice of cooked goodies. Many of the rooms in this hotel overlook an open courtyard restaurant and bar. A lovely place to dwell, but if you need a drink after 10.30 you... More

We stayed at the Hotel Du Vin Edinburgh the night before we visited the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, as part of our anniversary celebrations. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a suite, which was a fantastic surprise, and very much appreciated. The suite was amazingly well appointed, with a huge bed, sitting area, rainfall shower and rolltop bath. We loved... More

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting Edinburgh on business. Was showed to my room personally by the receptionist which I thought was a nice touch. The room I had (can't remember the name) was luxurious with a massive bed and impressive furnishings. The bathroom was massive but I think that was because I had a disability access room. Nevertheless,... More

On the one hand this hotel is excellent. Luxurious bedroom, free standing bath, amazing shower etc but on the other hand I would not recommend this hotel at all. The bedroom is strangely noisy - creaking floorboards from the room above, odd noises from water pipes and the sound of constant 'dripping' from somewhere we could not find. You would... More

Had an excellent bar lunch here between Fringe shows. Very tasty, reasonably priced & good staff who realised we were working to a deadline. Location is excellent for shows, museum & buses. There is a formal restaurant & an outside seating area in the summer.

We took advantage of a Sunday night special (room and meal deal). The hotel is really nice and styled really well. The room was great, Moet if i remember correctly. Dinner and Breakfast were both great too. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Apart from the alarm going off at 9.30 every morning it was comfortable enough. But breakfast was always hit-and-miss with service. No local accents and even the smallest request such as cranberry juice was too much trouble. "We haven't the keys for the bar and even if we did we can't use the till". Really an international festival and big... More

Dear Victoria, Thank you for your feedback regarding your stay with us. I am very sorry to read you did not have an enjoyable breakfast with us during your stay.
