We finished our trip with a few days in Edinburgh. What an oasis of modern amenities. We had adjoining rooms and they were luxurious. The bathrooms were fabulous. We ate a meal at the restaurant and enjoyed it as well. We would highly recommend this hotel. It location near the museum of Edinburgh was a big plus for us!

Stayed in early July for our daughters graduation from Edinburgh University and much enjoyed our stay. The hotel is only 100 yards from the McEwan Hall for the ceremony, and the hotel is comfortable and the rooms well appointed. Beds and bathrooms are what you expect from this standard of accommodation. Atmosphere was also helped by all the other parents staying... More

We have stayed in the Hotel du Vin Edinburgh several times. The last time (June 2014) we had pre-booked in 2013 and went for a superior suite on the top floor (cannot remember exact description). It was well worth it as the room was far bigger, with a lovely big bathroom and super walk-in, roomy shower. A big difference, as... More

I joined a group of 6 friends to celebrate a birthday in the bistro at the hotel bistro. The interior is quite dark and quirky as it is in an old building. If as the website says it is in the old town, then it must be the very edge and I would say more the University quarter which has... More

A bit difficult to find initially. Friendly welcome and a very strange layout inside which took a little gtting used to. Lovely suite with a bath in the window recess. Underfloor heating in the bathroom and a stainless steel shower tray - all just a little different! Lots to choose from in the mini bar with lots of snacks too.... More

What a hotel – we stayed here having received gift vouchers as a Christmas prezzie and had a fantastic time. Our room was upgraded to one of their suites…and this was before they knew it was my birthday! The Krug suite was fabulous, being very luxurious and having a bathroom as big as the large bedroom area. It could actually... More

Visited this establishment Friday, Saturday and Sunday 13th July 2014.. I've visited their Hotels a lot in York so I knew what to expect in Edinburgh. I was very depressed with the place. It was monotonous, predictable and pedestrian. Same Menu which is so poor it is embarrassing. Meals were tasteless. But on this visit it was not the meals... More

First time staying here and we stayed in the Dom Perignon executive suite. Pro's of the suite were it was very spacious and had an emperor size bed which was very comfortable, a battleship bath which was very deep, a large shower, Juliet balcony overlooking the court yard, 2 large TV's, mini bar, free wifi, nespresso machine, air con and... Stayed here twice now. Consistently good. In a great spot..Safe parking nearby discounted for HDV guests. Moat helpful staff, even found space for us to lock up our bikes. Not the cheapest but very comfy rooms, lovely luxury touches. Quiet and quirky hotel and lovely outside courtyard. No great views and don't like the central booking system but, other than... More
