This is a great b & b with a bus stop out your front door, about 20 minutes from downtown Edinburgh. The rooms are spacious, the beds very comfortable, with wonderful puffy pillows, and the bathroom and shower great. The decor in every room is very attractive. The breakfasts are wonderful: the full Scottish is more than you can eat,... More

Unfortunately this was a visit for a family funeral and the booking was made at short notice. I had one room and my brother and his wife had another next to mine upstairs at the front. The rooms were clean and tidy and both had an en suites. We were brought up not too far away from here so even... More

This B&B is a great place to stay in when visiting Edinburgh To begin with the rooms are great We travelled as a family and had the two front rooms on the ground floor The rooms are individually done up in a pretty, very inviting way Ann had plentiful supplies of tea things in addition to shortbread and cookies. These... More

The Emerald B&B was a very nice place to stay. There are supermarkers and restaurants around and with the bus you reacb the city centre in only 10 minutes. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The owner was very pleasant and she gave us some useful hints where to go. Last but not least: the breakfast. It was just AWESOME!... More

We would thoroughly recommend this very friendly guest house. The room was beautifully clean and comfortable and Ann is so welcoming and genuinely interested in her guests and their needs. The breakfast was really excellent and we were not rushed at all. The owners are passionate about good food and my gluten-free diet was not a problem to them. We were... More

Our stay here was very good, Ann was really helpful and the room was immaculate with bedding being changed every other day and towels daily. Breakfast was good although the sausages were not great, there was plenty of choice with good size portions. I most definitely go back. Great value for money.

I stayed here for 5 nights and was very impressed. The landlady is very helpful and polite and the breakfasts were so big I struggled to get going after them in the morning. Also the tea is nice and strong! No complaints whatsoever about my stay. I shall be returning.

Stayed at the Emerald with my fiancé and another couple for 2 nights over New Year, and had a great time. Very welcoming, lovely rooms. About 15mins bus ride onto the royal mile but the bus stop is right outside the b&b with regular buses. Flexible checking out time (we were all a little hungover and should have checked out... More
