This place has been a blot on the local are for a long time. Untidy garden, horrible decor, old furniture, words can not describe it. It is like a doss house from the 50,s. Health hazard, d'not know how it stayed open so long. Would not recommend it to my enemy!, I want past it today and it is boarded... More

While we appreciated Sharon's efforts to make our stay comfortable, it was the most disgusting B&B/hotel we have been to. It is hard to know where to start, but the first thing you will notice is the stench of smoke and general uncleanliness. Next up is the shower. If you are in room 1, the shower is either so hot... Room is a mess, cobwebs all over light shade, carpet a mess, toilet fan mucky and tv on window sill. So if you wanted to watch tv at night you had to sit with window curtains open. It has a four star sign out front which is totally inaccurate. So fore warned is well warned.

When we arrived and walked up to the door, the yard should have been our first clue as to what was ahead: unkempt, piles of oldd grass, weeds everywhere. When we registered we were told there was no WIFI, that a recent thunderstorm knocked out the modem. We were asked to pay cash since their card machine was not working.... More

We booked this hotel in July 2012 because of its 4* rating and that it could offer us a family room. The photos are very decieving. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner and two mangy looking dogs. The owner tried to quibble on the price we were paying, but luckily we had a copy of our booking... More

We spent a night in this hotel. Sharon, the manager, was very sympathique and helpful. Hotel is close to the sea. A bit old, but clean and quiet. Wifi connection available, car be parked easily in the streets around.

I've never posted a review but I am compelled to warn you all! This place is appalling!! The pictures are deceiving....the dirty fingernailed and filth imbedded hands of the inn keeper lady is the same hands that set out your trays of crap breakfast! The filth is thru out the whole place, from the inch of dust on everything to... More

Writing reviews is something I seldom do. However, after staying at the Robert Burns House, comments were absolutely necessary. The "professional" photos on the website are nothing NOTHING! like what is actually there. The first on the long list were the condition of the grounds. Neglect was obvious. The grass was nearly 25cm high/weeds every where, broken lamps near the... More

I have just returned from a 1 night stay in this hotel.... I have to say I was gobsmacked and words failed me when we walked into it. It is filthy, old, overgrown, smelly, unsafe and possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. BUT....... I have never laughed so much, it is run by Basil Fawlty and Manwell........ More
