The dogs were welcomed here and surrounded by wonderful walks it was just perfect. We were greeted and shown around but left in peace there after. Our cottages (4 & 5) had secure gardens and the roomy cottages were very well kitted out with all mod cons to a high standard. The beds, bedding and towells were all crisp white... More

This is the second time my husband & I have stayed at Swanston Cottages. The first was in cottage 7 in October 2011 & most recently in cottage 6 in December 2012 - January 2103. We were visiting our daughter & her family who live close by. Both stays were very pleasant as both cottages were clean, comfortable & cosy... More

We stayed there at cottage nr 7 the last week of August while our house was being renovated. Although the price per week is quite substantial, we regretted not enquiring for a longer stay (we reckon we could have stayed a whole month there). There is ample space to store everything you need (in our case, toddler, baby stuff and... More

We stayed in cottage 4 over the August bank holiday weekend. We requested a travel cot which I assumed would be put up for our arrival however we had to rummage in a cupboard. No linen was provided for the cot, luckily I had taken a sheet just in case. The cot was pretty disgusting. The fabric edge was stained,... More

We stayed at Swanston for probably the eighth time and as usual really enjoyed the warm cozy cottage which was very clean and comfortable. Over the years we have stayed during most seasons and all are lovely here as there are good walks in one direction and the city in the other. We usually combine business and pleasure on trips... I also stayed in cottage number 8 in July 2011 with my son and had a totally different experience from the previous post. The cottage was clean, especially the kitchen. I loved that they gave you a little bag with new cleaning cloths, sponges, dishwasher tablets etc. The free internet was also a bonus. I also thought that the cottage... More

We stayed in cottage number 8 for 1 week. It was very peaceful and great walking, with horses all around and nice views. But the cottage was filthy. I had to request a hoover. There was cobwebs on the walls and ceilings in every room and the skirting boards had at least an inch of thick black dust on them.... More

Great location - wonderful views - but still close to everything. We stayed for 7 nights and would have easily stayed longer. Lots of parking as well. The cottage catered well for our family. It was cosy with a full kitchen and large lounge area. With the Golf Club right beside you, you can choose to eat at the clubhouse... More

We came here for a week in late July and was very pleased with the location and the apartment itself. The accomodation is very easy to find and its close enough to the ring road to make it easy to get around by car. Its also fairly close to a bus stop at the hunters tryst pub so after 30mins... More
