We chose this flat because we just wanted to stay like our house with 2 little kids and the flat was perfect. We stayed in 2/4 Old Tolbooth Wynd. So close to Waverly station, Royal Mile, we went to Edinburgh Christmas Market. I was worried about parking but it was November and it was not a problem. Wifi was good.

Nice kitchen/dinner and lounge area. Comfortable beds, clean and all... More

stayed for an overnight for a theatre break. 4 adults. Spacious enough for 4 people. Slightly disappointed with the apartment to be honest. Seemed very cluttered with unnecessary decor. Did not appear very clean. Shower in double room could do with being scrubbed. Bit mouldy round the base area. The sofa bed had not been cleaned. We found Cheerios stuck... More

Great value getting a two bedroom flat for less than we would need to pay for a hotel room in the area. Good condition and well equipped with full kitchen facilities. Good location at the back of Waverley Station and off the Royal Mile.

Nice central location, big rooms, very well equipped kitchen and nice bright rooms. Train line running behind appartaments was a bit noisy and we were woken up by a fight in the street below. There also was some building works going on on the square just next to the apartaments so it was noisy during day as well and plenty... More

We rented this apartment to be able to attend our daughter's graduation, we had other family members who joined us from Glasgow & Northampton. We had to unload the car at the front of the apartment as there is no access from the back where there is parking. We entered the apartment & shortly after discovered it had not been... More

I am sorry that our apartments were not of satisfactory standards but as explained in numerous emails between our office staff and yourself unless we are able to gain access to see the issues raised we are unfortunately unable to act on it at a later date. Our colleague waited 30 minutes, to which I was the one that told... More

I stayed at this accommodation last weekend, we were a group of 5 ladies celebrating a special birthday. We had an appartment split over 3 levels and it was very good. The location is superb, very central, and the appartment had everything that you could have needed. I would definitely use them again. The only thing that would have been... More

The apartment had everything we needed for a city break. It was clean, plenty of hot water, heating if you needed it.Some more pillows would have been useful as there was only one very flat one per bed.More than adequate seating in the lounge The best thing was the location - Just a couple of minutes away from the Royal Mile with... Clean, well appointed and well located unit with secure off-street parking. Generous hosts who provided sufficient breakfast cereals for a week, a litre of milk and a loaf of bread in addition to some sound advice on restaurants and shops. Close to: o Royal Mile and many restaurants, o city centre with shops and attractions, o railway station, o Parliament... More

Staying in Old Town

Neighborhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavored souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
