Clean, comfortable, spacious apartments equipped with anything one could ask for. Quiet but central location, only 10 minutes walk from Edinburgh castle and the old town. Host very friendly and welcoming. The only disadvantage was that the wifi was not very reliable but who needs internet in such an amazing city! Good price too and excellent value for money. Definitely... More

This is the second time I have booked these apartments at Lochrin Place ( 249 last year and 204 this week in August) as they are very centrally located with free underground parking (very rare in Edinburgh city centre!) and wi-fi. Both times it has been with colleagues and we have been able to enjoy a room and bathroom each... More

Booked two night break. Called owner 15 mins before arrival. Smooth meeting and key exchange. Secure, private car parking. Apartment lovely. Spacious, modern and clean. Everything we could ask for. Wifi little slow. Best part 10 minutes easy walk from city centre and all attractions. Perfect location. Definitely recommend for city break.

Just returned from a 3 day visit. Did my research into accomm and this came up as most reasonable and location via booking.com Needed facility and space for 6 - 4 adults and 2 kids. Well located and accessible. Hired a car so underground car park was a perk with security. 2 bedroom apartment had 2 sofa beds so no... More

After we reported trouble operating an appliance the proprietors upgraded us to another of their apartments for our return stay after the weekend. The proprietors were unfailingly responsive and courteous.

Five of us stayed in the apartment for two nights. Very clean, excellent value and perfect location for main attractions in Edinburgh. Would use again and recommend to friends, particularly as it had private underground parking.

Have to say that I was thoroughly impressed with the apartment and service. From being promptly met at the property with a smile, one does call in advance but nice not to be kept waiting, especially with a little one, to the clean spacious (for a family of 4) and well presented apartment. Parking was very secure and the building... More

For less than many hotel rooms, this two bedroom apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge and dining area. Best of all it came with free parking in a secure underground garage - which is like gold dust in central Edinburgh. Very helpful management who met us at the flat after we had phoned from 10 minutes away. Highly... More

Five of us have just come back from staying in this apartment and we all throughly enjoyed it. The place was spotless and spacious. I would definitely stay here again and wouldn't hesitate in recommending others. Thank you

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theaters and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
