What an amazing B&B! I returned from Edinburgh a few days ago, and Invertruin made my journey to Edinburgh an unforgettable one. You can walk to the city centre from here but there's also a frequent bus service. Liz is such a lovely person, we had some nice chats during breakfast. The breakfast table looked fabulous every morning with a... More

Just back from a lovely overnight stay. Liz was extremely helpful and welcoming. The room was nice, very clean and had good facilities. The breakfast was great with a selection of fresh fruit and a full Scottish Breakfast. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Edinburgh.

Edinburgh is expensive to stay in but finding this B&B was great. Liz is very laid back which meant unlike many B&Bs we were able to enjoy a much apprciated long lie. Breakfast was lovely and the house was so quiet. Great value and will be back for sure. Thank you!

We have stayed here several times in the past few years. It is a lovely house and the accommodation is good value for money. The rooms are quiet and comfortable and Liz always makes you feel most welcome. The breakfasts are just fantastic!

Liz gave us a genuine warm welcome and her house is a very comfortable and homely. I loved having fresh milk served in dainty jugs stored in a mini fridge on the landing instead of 'artificial' milk for tea and coffee in our room. The breakfast was the best breakfast we've ever had in a B&B - before a cooked... More

I stayed in this lovely bed and breakfast in August/September, before and after going on a tour of the Highlands and Orkney. The whole experience was outstanding! Elizabeth was fantastic, prepared wonderful breakfasts, and had no trouble in adding a surprise guest at the end of my tour ( one of the other tour-ees had no place to go). The... More

This B&B is genuine in many ways... first of all Elizabeth is genuine, she's very friendly and her natural behavior let you feel very comfortable; second the house itself is also genuine, in rooms you can find a touch of the host: it can be a book or a computer but is something speaks about her taste... third the breakfast:... I stayed 4 nights and very much enjoyed my stay.Invertruin is a lovely house, spacious and and very well appointed. I stayed in the Lilac room overlooking the garden. I found it as comfortable as a hotel at a much lower price, it was a nice home from home experience. I enjoyed the spacious bathroom and huge bath! The breakfast... More

This is a lovely B & B, five of us occupied 2 rooms, both rooms are spacious, well arranged and decorated, very clean and having good view of the garden. The home cooking breakfast is excellent. Liz is so generous, the breakfast included sausage, mushroom, bacon, egg cooked upon order with our prefer style, the tasty fresh yogurt (yummy) and... More
