We have stayed at this guest house several times and never been disappointed. The rooms are comfortable and the food is good. Jim is very amiable and informative. There is parking available and I recommend leaving your vehicle there and walking or travelling by bus into the city. We will be back.

We stayed three nights to spend hogmanay in Edinburgh. We couldn't have chosen a better place. Jim is a very lovely and friendly host and very helpful. Our room was very pretty with an oriel looking out to the street. It was just so nice to sit in the comfy chairs, have a cup of tea and look out of... More

The family room was perfect for us - peaceful, spacious and quiet. Immense breakfast - try the full scottish at least once :) Left car for full trip in secure park at back of house. Easy/quick connection into town by bus. We walked back from town a few times through the studenty southside and it took about twenty minutes. We'll... More

Myself and my Fiance always look forward to a visit to St Conan's (we've been 3 or 4 times now) - I would recommend a stay here to anyone wanting to visit Edinburgh. Jimmy the host is always very accommodating and friendly and his full English breakfasts are to die for - and he always has somewhere to recommend for... More

We stayed for a couple of nights and loved it. It's in a great location, on a main bus route taking you right into Edinburgh centre. The host was so friendly but not too OTT either, there was a relaxed atmosphere around the place. Rooms were a great size and very comfy. Breakfast was very good, I'm a Vegetarian and... More

My husband and I honeymooned around Scotland and I have to say Edinburgh has a real special place in our hearts, helped by our stay at St.Conan's, a lovely room, such a warm friendly welcome and a fab breakfast. Can't wait to return.

We have stayed in many B&B's in Edinburgh and i would say that this is the best b&b that we have stayed in, Owner is really friendly, even remembered what we were going through to Edinburgh for! We were going to the Festival Theatre, it was only a 10-15mins walk away. B&B is clean and comfortable and breakfast is fantastic... More

The B&B owner was extremely nice and friendly and very helpful giving directions. The accomodations were very clean. Also they were able to accomodate me at the last minute even though I had to change rooms after staying 2 nights. There is a lot of street noise in the front 2 rooms and I would say the walk to the... More

...as we travel a lot, we see quite a few b n b's around the UK. This one belongs to the ones we like, the owner is very friendly, up for a chat, flexible and cooks a brilliant breakfast. The rooms are nice, clean, quiet and all in a different style. The B n B is close to the city... More
