Live locally so have had a few meals in here. It appears on the face of it to be a fairly basic pub grub menu but there are actually some real gems in there. The cod and chorizo special is amazing (if you like spicy). And the menu changes quite regularly so new dishes are always appearing. The value for... More

I stay in Northfield House Hotel when I am visiting family in Edinburgh. I have found it to be friendly, comfortable and good value for money. It is convenient to the city center by a frequent bus service - 20 mins gets you there. Bus stop just across the road from the hotel! The rooms are comfortable, well kept and... More

We stayed here for 3 nights & had a very good time. The food was excellent, bedroom very comfortable & staff extremely friendly & helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They even provided us with a microwave so my husband could have his pre-marathon porridge early!

I stayed here for one night whilst touring Scotland with friends. Had booked two rooms here and both were really good equipped with all essentials. The staff was very friendly. I loved their restaurant with the outdoor seating. A nice place to have a cold beer on a sunny day.

We stay here often as it is convenient for visiting family. Buses for the town centre stop outside and are frequent(except for Sunday when they are every half an hour). Rooms are simple and clean. It's not luxury, but fine for the price. Full Scottish breakfast was freshly cooked to order and tasty. Yoghurts, cereals and fruit were also available.... More

Stayed here for one night whilst attending a family funeral. We also held the wake in the hotel and the staff coudn't have done any more to make sure that everything went well. There was ample well-filled sandwiches as well as a selection of cakes and biscuits. The coffee pots were continually filled up. After the wake had finished I... More

Stayed here with friends on Dec 30th as we were going to see The Lion King. Great wee hotel on the outskirts of the city, only 15 mins by bus which stops right outside the hotel. The rooms were perfect and really clean, beds were really comfy and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was first class. Cant wait to go... More

We have just arrived back home after a long weekend in Edinburgh staying at the Northfiels House Hotel. A fantastic experience. They only have 4 berooms (so book early!). Very comfortable and friendly. Rooms are good size and well equipped. Full Scottish breakfast in the morning and a great restaurant in the evening complete with a full bar. We were... More
