I've stayed in many B&Bs and hotels but this one tops them all. Me and my girlfriend stayed for five days in Botanics this autumn, and thinking back of our stay we have great memories of the relaxed and warm atmosphere. Host Eleanor knows how to create a personal and caring atmosphere while at the same time fully respecting your... more

Staying at Botantics B & B was more like staying with a friend than as a paying guest - you are free to use the whole house which is beautifully decorated. That, together with the self-service breakfast, makes for a particularly relaxing experience. The location is great - quiet but really easy to get into town and Eleanor can point... more

Botanics was the find of our trip; such a prettily decorated apartment; everything just as we would have dreamed of in a lovely quiet yet centrally convenient part of the city. Eleanor was a perfect hostess. We will be returning! We have already passed on the good news to friends who plan to visit Edinburgh very soon. more

We stayed in several B&Bs during our visit to Scotland and Ireland, and Botanics B&B is definitely at the top of the list, due in large part to our charming and gracious hostess, Eleanor. We spent eight days at Botanics, and she was an invaluable source of information and advice. The continental breakfasts were the best cereals and fruit, available... more

The house is located very calmly a minute away from the Botanic Garden, but also very close to the old town of Edinburgh (15-20 min walk). It's very convenient as you can make your breakfast by yourself any time you want and Eleanor even let's you use her great kitchen for cooking. A supermarket is near by and parking is... more

As the subtle smell of speet peas lulls you into the most comfortable bed and pillows, you can breathe in the fresh frangrances of the garden provided for both beauty and peaceful contentment and Botanics B & B. Having been a visitor to this delightfully friendly, beautiful country before, my most recent experience at Botanics B & B will, no... more

First of all, Eleanor : To us, she was more a friend than a host. She didn't disappeare behind a door after introducing the rooms, but she shares her lovely house with you. She dedicates time to give generous advice to tourists of Edinborrow and Scotland. The kitchen is open to guests and a dream for everyone who loves cooking!... more

What a super B&B! An excellent location virtually opposite the Botanic gardens, easy for either walking to the centre or for catching a convenient bus. A very warm welcome from Eleanor made for a relaxing start to our short break. The house was very clean and tastefully decorated. The continental breakfast was generous, the bedroom cosy and the bed very... more
