We stayed at the GlenIsla when we first visited Edinburgh in summer 2010. All the other rooms were taken so we had to make do with the room that wasnt en-suite, i did not like the idea of this but it actually wasnt that much of a problem. The Room was very clean and nicely decorated with tv, tea/coffee facilities... More

Our stay at The Glenisla made the trip to Edinburgh unforgettable. Graham got in touch with us a few days before our arrival to check on our flight schedules so to arrange for check-in. Once we got to the B&B all the brochures and tips to visit the city were available on the spot, Graham asked us to choose our... More

I searched forever to find a place to stay in Edinburgh. It was my first solo trip and I wanted to make it a good one. I scoured dozens of travel sites, ran Google searches nearly every day, and devoured every review I could get my hands on. And The Glenisla stood out - great rooms, fantastic breakfast, quiet neighborhood,... More

Travelled to Edinburgh, with my boyfriend, for my 21st birthday. Before arrival, Graham had rang us to ask of travel details and such which I felt was nice and personal. As we had a very early flight, we arrived way ahead of check-in but were able to pick up the keys and leave our luggage with Graham to put in... More

The B&B is located to the south of the city which can easily be reached by bus or a good walk. It is close to Peffermill and other parts of the University of Edinburgh. The road the B&B is situated on is very quiet with ample parking. Inside the rooms are very clean and well equipped. The beds we had... More

Stayed at the Glenisla for a couple of nights. Graham was very pleasant and helpful, providing details about bus services etc (plenty within minutes from B&B) . We left car in driveway of Glenisla but there is also free parking on the street . Nice residential area and yet only 10 mins bus ride to city centre. Little extras like... More

Booked this hotel for a business trip, advertised as full english breakfast, although no times given. Tried phoning the hotel but constantly met with an answering machine with out of date info. Informed the owner that I was leaving early morning (6am) to be told that breakfast would not be given at that time, they would not even supply milk... More

The owner was exceptional, ringing before arrival, offering information about travel into Edinburgh etc. Just a bus ride away from the centre of the city. Room was well equipped, spotless and, with free wi-fi, water, biscuits, tea, coffee, free view, basin and desk, perfect for my stay. Taxi arranged on final day and luggage stored during day after 11am checkout.... More

The hotel was beautiful, great service, great food and friendly people. We had booked into a Premier Inn, in the past, whilst staying in edinburgh and regretted that we had not seen this hidden gem first! Excellent breakfast as well - a genourous sized portion. Great value for money and a great location (there was access to buses to Princes... More

I stayed here in April 2010 and then August 2010, both times where when the ash cloud descended and the the Military Tattoo was happening so rather busy times. The best things about this brilliantly situated place are the owners and the beds. The first stay I was on my own and stayed in the single room with shared bathroom.... More
