Stayed with my girlfriend for two nights at 23 Mayfield. We were a late check in but Ross & Kathleen gave us the front door code so we could get in. The room was comfortable, with tablet waiting for us... A good shower and a delicious breakfast set us up for our days in Edinburgh. We were sorry that we... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and had an amazing stay. Highlights included: - Gourmet breakfast that you select the day prior. There is lots of variety including a daily special. - Approximately a mile from the Royal Mile. We enjoyed the walk and there's convenient access to the bus. Located in front of King Arthurs Seat.... Excellent little inn managed by welcoming perfectionists. Small (10 rooms) and quiet (not good if you are noisy or come with young children) and very warm and nicely decorated. Very good breakfast (except maybe the fruit juices). Strongly recommended!

We recently stayed at 23 Mayfield (in the Premier Jacobean room) on a trip to Edinburgh for my husbands birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and couldn't fault it. The room was lovely - the original features have been restored sensitively (rather than tackily) and the decor suited it perfectly. It was kitted out with all you could need,... More

We stayed here over valentines weekend, everything from the rooms to the food was amazing. The ground coffe in the bedroom went a long way. Breakfast is as good as the reviews state. My only bug bear which would detract from the rating this that our room was really dusty; we stayed in the grand jacobean and canopy of the... More

This gorgeous house and family home was so welcoming and delightful when my sister and I arrived with our two adult daughters we felt at home and relaxed immediately. The beautiful original features of the house were highlighted and well kept with gorgeous decor and attention to detail. The breakfast dining room was stuning with linen table cloths and real... From the moment you book 23 Mayfield you know you're going to be looked after well. A complimentary email from the owner makes you feel very welcomed. Situated about 30 minutes walk into the centre of Edinburgh (or 45 if you walk through the park to Holyrood Palace) this boutique hotel oozes quality. The bedroom was beautiful, the lounge (with...
