Found this hotel on tripadvisor, chose Dunstane mainly because it was close to City center and also provided free parking. Cant fault this hotel at all we stayed in the very modern, extremely clean and comfortable City hotel. 2 nights we stayed and chose to eat across the road at the restaurant for one of them. Food was excellent as... More

Biggest plus point - the staff. Everyone was polite and helpful. Our room was smaller than we'd expected and in the city hotel accross the road. The whole hotel was spotless and our room had a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was good the bacon etc was very tasty. The airport bus stops outside the hotel. keep a lookout for the hotel... More

My partner and I have just stayed here for 3 nights and we had a lovely time. Every member of staff was pleasant and helpful - we arrived too early to check in so left our bags and went to explore the city. When we returned they had been taken to our room for us - we were showed our... More

Stayed overnight here back in June 2014. I got a room in the new building across the street from the old building where the reception is located. They upgraded me to a suite, which was nice, but the room was at a lower ground than the street so absolutely no view. I was there only for a night and i... More

Chose the hotel dunstane due to reviews, I felt it was overpriced considering its location. I would probably have chosen something else but it was clean and tidy ad the bus stopped outside which was easy to get around Edinburgh. The breakfast was ok not as good as some I have had. On our last day we had to leave... More

Our family of 2 adults & 3 teens booked the Dunstane Hotel based on reviews on Tripadvisor. Because we needed a triple-share room for the kids, our rooms were not in the main building, but in the `City' building across the road. This was not a problem for us at all but I can imagine this could be inconvenient for... More

I booked the Dunstane after researching on tripadvisor and although it was the most expensive place I have ever stayed at for $300 a night was really looking forward to experiencing a boutique hotel. The room was nice but we stayed in the house across from the hotel on a busy road. We could hear the traffic all night which... More

Staff is extraordinarily friendly. Free parking. Lovely building, well kept. We had a double bed, which was a bit snug for the two of us. No lift and no air conditioning. However, it was such a nice place otherwise that none of the initial drawbacks really bothered us. We thoroughly enjoyed the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. I had... More

Stayed at the Dunstane City on our recent trip to Edinburgh. Small, quiet boutique hotel with a young, friendly staff. We were on the first floor, close to registration desk & heard little noise. Added bonus....the wonderful restaurant! Excellent breakfasts & delicious dinners! Try the lamb!!!!

I thought I was booking at the partner hotel across the street, but wasn't disappointed to find myself in the city hotel. Both buildings are lovely and the decor is very nice. My room was pretty, clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. It was also very quiet and peaceful. The hotel is very well situated, not quite in the hustle and bustle... More
