We had a fantastic two night stay. A lovely, warm welcome. Our room was very clean and well presented with the bathroom just across the corridor. Situated down a lovely, quiet road and a 30 minute walk from the city centre. It was perfect for our weekend stay. Breakfast choices were absolutely fantastic, freshly made and delicious. We would definitely... More

Clean, comfortable, and a pleasure to stay in. Breakfast was great and didn't skimp, e.g good quality muesli and freshly baked scones. Angela and Alan were friendly and professional. I would definitely stay there again.

Me and my partner stayed in June 2013 for 1 night, for a short break away. We had the double room with en-suite toilet/shower, there were rooms which shared a bathroom also. The room was lovely, homely and quiet with tea/coffee facilities, flat screen little tv and free wifi which came in handy. The owners are a lovely couple who... More

stayed recently with my wife for a long weekend, lovely quiet location, but just round the corner from the main Bus route into city centre, very clean rooms, very helpful and pleasant hosts, superb breakfast, would recommend to anyone and would definately stay again.

I stayed here in September as a solo female. The Vidler's were so kind to me, helping with travel directions and arranging a room for me at the last minute. The hotel itself is lovely. It's a bit outside the city but the walk into Edinburgh is great. I also liked the location because it's in a residential neighborhood and... More

As a solo female traveller, I look at not just only the value for money and location, but also reviews written by like travellers. I stayed three nights and based my booking on all of the above, I was given a double room on the first floor with a shared bathroom, which was at the front of the house and... More

We visited Edinburgh in August when the city was fully booked out. Rowan Guest House is a nice quiet place about 15 minutes away by bus from the city centre. The rooms were freshly renovated, the service was excellent and so was the breakfast. We had a great time though it was a little bit expensive. PS: Try the porridge!... More

My stay here was for a week while trying to find a flat in the city and starting a new job. The attitude of the staff here made such a difference at quite a stressful point - I can't say enough nice things. The value for what you got was excellent, the place was spotless, the staff were fantastic. There... More

We had a double room at the top of the house with private bathroom. The room was very nice and clean, but the most amazing thing of that b&b was the breakfast:Angela's freshly baked scones were incredible, and the fruit salad with so many different types of fruits, very good bacon and sausages! The b&b is 30' by foot from... More
