Booked this due to promixity to place of work. I turned up at 10pm to be told my room had been double-booked. They knew I had a reservation, but gave the room to another guest. They told me I had to use another travelodge elsewhere. Only positive was the politeness of the lady behind reception, who sorted me out very... More

Having lived in Edinburgh for 15 years, I do know how difficult it is to get accommodation during the Edinburgh Festival in August and at an average of £125 per night I shouldn't expect too much but still there were a few niggles : one hand towel for 2 people and no bath mat - so either the bathroom floor... We visited Edinburgh in August which was in the middle of the festivals so we paid quite a substantial amount which unfortunately didn't really meet our expectations. It was a fair walk from the main town centre (about 20mins). As a group of friends travelling we booked a family room which on the website showed three separate beds. When we... More

We stayed two nights Staff where great and friendly Room was great very clean Eat once not a great experience But for a warmed up microwave meal I suppose it was ok. Just not worth the money. Location wise it's good in a quiet street. Not too far to walk too the main shopping area Main problem we had was... More

Just returned from a 1 night business trip to Edinburgh and had the misfortune to be booked into this hotel. On the outside it is an impressive looking building however don't be taken in. The hotel is described as having their corporate `new look` which amounts to the fact that they have introduced their comfy beds ( they are great)... More

The travelodge is in a quiet, nice area with in a walking distance from the center. Easy access from the airport since the tramstop is just a couple of blocks away. The staff was helpful. The room itself wasn't anything special, but it was convenient and spacious. We had a twin room, which had one double bed and a convertible... More

I've just spent 4 nights at the Travelodge in Haymarket. The hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood, which is ideal if you want a quiet neighbourhood, but not if you want to be in the New or Old Towns (there are better located hotels if need to be central). Travelodge Haymarket is in an old, creaky building so you can... More

A great location with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was comfortable and quiet although the floorboards did squeak but it's an old traditional building. We were on the top floor and the only downside was the hot water took a long time to come through but got there in the end. A great stay and good value for money.... More

We last stayed here for the Edinburgh Hogmanay Party in 2013. The rooms are well finished and the beds very comfortable. The staff are simply superb. The Hotel does food and a bar 24/7, which is perhaps just as well as there is not much within walking distance in this largely residential but very quiet part of Edinburgh. The prices... More

Nice rooms in a quiet part of town. Rooms to the back are particularly quiet as they face the scenic back gardens. Plumbing is in need of TLC with poor water pressure and lack of hot water at times, but it is an old house. The drinks were reasonably priced but no draft beer. Food is available 24/7 and the...
