For a city hotel this represents decent value for money, but expect Travelodge staffing standards - i.e. far too few staff, with the receptionist also manning the bar, such that there was a long wait for check in. The rooms are OK - beds are small compared to "normal" Travelodges. The hotel is close to Haymarket station, but don't expect... more

fine for Stag and Hen do....but NOT if you want to avoid them or want to sleep Start with the good -- the staff were excellent, very helpful, very courteous, efficient, can't fault them. The location was good, easy walking distance with where we needed to be, close to a not too expensive NCP parking. The cleanliness of the room... more

To me Travelodge represents affordable but basic accommodation and the Haymarket in Edinburgh to me lives up to this. The rooms are clean, bedding towels clean and if you stay more than one night towels are replenished if requested. There was a kettle with coffee, tea, milk, sugar and a bar of soap in the bathroom and thats as far... more

Sadly this hotel really lets the Travelodge name down. I know that they company provide basic accommodation but this took the biscuit. Only place to sit was the small dining room. Staff had a bit of a don't care attitude The room door fell off in my hand and could not be fixed until Monday! I did highlight the risk... more

I recently stayed at Edinburgh Travelodge Central (which was mouldy and noisy so I won't be going back) and realised that the Haymarket one is of a much higher quality. I have stayed at the Edinburgh Haymarket on twice. The second time was in December '08 and unfortunately their boiler broke so there was no hot water. They could have... more

Room fine if a little dated. About 20 min walk to Princes Street. Parking is a nightmare - a limited number of parking spaces near (ish) to the hotel - £2 per hr for max of 4 hours (no charge after 6.30 and before 8am) and then a multistorey carpark down the road and around the corner. Haymarket train station... more

Was in Edinburgh for the weekend and booked this only a month before, but still got a good rate. This is a Travelodge, so I was expecting the usual from the budget chain, but this was much better. Unlike many Travelodges which provide uniform small rooms, this is in a group of town houses near Haymarket station. True, this is... more

If you’re on a budget that doesn’t mind walking and is looking for no frills accommodation on the cheap this is defiantly the place for you! I paid £19 (Via the Travelodge Website) to stay here and I wasn't disappointed. A basic, very clean and very comfortable Travelodge in a fantastic location! The staff are also very friendly and helpful.... more

Basic, functional and good price - if you book early enough. We paid £35 a night which is good for late spring in edinburgh. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food OK. It's a quiet location, too. And handy for haymarket Rail station and buses to the airport & city centre. more

We stayed here as we had a flight to catch at 6am it was very handy for the airport, basically one road there. We had a bit of trouble finding the hotel but that was mainly because of diversions around the Haymarket station, however when we phoned for directions the staff member was less than helpful and hungup on us! When we did... more
