3 of us stayed for 2 nights to see Rugby Scotland v Ireland. Bar was very busy after the match, got the impression that many in the bar were not residents. Needs a much larger TV in the bar. Staff were very polite and helpful, breakfast very good. Difficult to find the room (215) as the signs were incorrectly placed... More

we stayed here only 2 weeks ago. Our room was not refurbished as the web page states. I wrote clean me in the dust that was on the inside of the wardrobe, the room was noisy and parking is very limited. we checked out early and got a full refund from the manager. On the plus side the location in... More

This hotel is in a Victorian terrace about three minutes from Haymarket station and the newish trams. Lots of other hotels in the area and not immediately well marked probably because they are not allowed to have huge garish signs in this old area. Just look straight up the street from the main road and it is straight in front... More

We spent the night at Haymarket Travelodge after spending a day in Edinburgh even although we don't live far away from the city. It was a nice relaxing way to finish the day. Haymarket Travelodge has more character than the purpose built Travelodges with high ceilings and attractive cornices and wood panelling in the dining room and is in an... More

A pleasant surprise was that this was clearly an old hotel which had been taken over by Travelodge so was very much in keeping with the area. While this hotel is not placed centrally it benefits from being a little outside the busy centre but with bus and tram links to the shopping centre. It is however very convenient for... More

This is the first time I have not enjoyed my stay in a Travelodge and I have even stayed in this same hotel before. I have to say that the beds are excellent and the staff helpful. It useful if you are flying in to Edinburgh because the hotel is on the route of the airport bus and the tram

Too many things were wrong with this hotel. Firstly it is not very well displayed on the street and certainly the staff at the train station directed us to the wrong hotel first. Very concerned about fire alarm procedures and partially blocked and unlit fire escape route. (Fire alarm went off twice during our 2 night stay once at 3.30... More

Rooms clean and spacious, breakfast ok, noise from cables outside the window at night. Good central location. Staff friendly. Hotel has no parking but buses and trams are a short walk from the hotel. Attractive Georgian building

Overall, a great stay and fantastic value. Things that particularly stand out: 1) The warmth and friendliness of the staff. Second to none. I was visiting with my son to celebrate his 9th birthday by watching the rugby at Murrayfield. We were checked in by "Tam" a brilliant guy who made such a fuss of him, despite being very busy.... Great location for Edinburgh centre and Murrayfield stadium. Clean and tidy rooms although the shower poor. Not a big deal as it's not exactly an expensive place to stay. Nice relaxing bar later on. Definitely stay there again on six nations weekend.
