We booked some nights here when Travelodge were running one of their offers so the room was pretty cheap. If I'd been paying the full price I'd be pretty disappointed as the place is in need of some money being spent on it. It's pretty tired and well overdue for refurbishment. the room floors creaked very loudly and you could... More

We checked in at 4pm and left promptly at 4.45pm. Admittedly we did book the hotel with a budget break in mind but even this Travelodge was of a lower standard than we were expecting. Pro's- the location is excellent for Haymarket station, literally a few minutes walk. And that's where the pro's end. Cons- the room was eerie. Walls... More

Stayed here for one night September 2011, its in a good location with a ten minute walk to all the major sites. Hotel is clean and tidy, rooms reasonable, bar area basic. 3 minutes walk to Haymarket train station and numerous bus stops. Would stay again.

This hotel is nicely placed for walking a short distance to the E.I.C.C. And for walking distance to the main city centre shops, castle and other attractions. There is a large reasonably priced car park opposite. The lounge and bar are convenient for guests and visitors alike, and as a consequence, though I last stayed here in 2002, I often... More

My friend booked this hotel at a very good price for a three night stay, and chose a family room, even though there was just two of us, because of the low price. The room is more like an apartment, bigger than a studio apartment and even bigger than my flat. The ceilings are lovely and ornate, and the windows... More

The huge windows and high ceiling with decorative cornice suggested that the room in its pre-hotel days was extremely elegant. Sadly, those days were long gone. The dim, low-energy ceiling light gave the room a cold, hard atmosphere, and the bottom of the wardrobe panelling had been pulled off. Hadn't a cleaner seen this? Two thoughtless features were an absence... More

This was our second time in a Travelodge and I still finding it a really good option. We paid just 45 pounds/night and the hotel was quite nice. The room was enormous (it is an old building) and despite the fact that was a little far from the centre the neighbourhood was amazing. Located a few blocks away fron tha... More

recently spent the night in this hotel and were it not for the fact that it only cost £10 it would have been a good deal worse,to say the room was basic would be an understatement and as to why they nail the drawers on the cabinets shut is a mystery also, about the only thing going for it was the...
