Comfortable and quite spacious rooms, nice bathroom with clean smart room. We stayed in this location out of necessity but it was actually quite nice - location is next to a big Tesco , a housing estate and a rank of shops but inside is clean and quiet. Heating was good although shower a bit weedy. Cooked breakfast was brilliant... more

Over all the review sites I read prior to arrival I must admit I was apprehensive. If you want palatial, it's not for you. If you want a well managed, friendly, slightly dated hotle with efficient staff then this is worth a try. Yes it is not the best located hotel I have ever seen, though easy to find and... more

My husband and I have Just returned from a 2 night stay - Dinner bed and breakfast, at Howard Park Hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. The tired painted brickwork exterior of this 1970`s architectural box is off putting. Inside, welcoming, clean, functional. Reasonable sized en-suite room with good sound proofing and quiet plumbing! Comfy bed too. At the discounted rate, good value for money and I would stay here again. more

We booked this hotel for a 3 night stay largely because it was the only one in the area that was promoting itself as pet friendly. After booking we noticed a dodgy review on TripAdvisor and we were a little nervous of what to expect. We had no cause to worry. From our very first face to face contact we... more

The hotel is fine for a reasonably-priced short break. It's not luxurious but has all the basics and, most importantly, is clean! Our travel company had messed up the booking for our party of 19 but when we arrived, the hotel manageress really helped us out and did a special deal on the bits our booking agent had missed off... more

This hotel is a joke. It must be the ugliest hotel I have ever seen. They must employ ugly staff to match the horrible interior/exterior. The bar De Waldens, was an overpriced nightmare. I asked for a whisky and got served a tomato juice and charged £5.95!! Never stay here. more
