The staff at Kilmarnock Travelodge are fabulous - so helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the building is not so bonny. Damp in room - woke up couging. Bad start to holiday. Builders in car-park started at 5.30am!

The hotel is not very far from Prestwick Airport and despite that I made a very late check in it was not a problem for the receptionist on duty. All the staff at the hotel are fantastic, in particular Heather and Tracey who gave me suggestions and directions to a nearby restaurant and other places of interest.. Their are currently... More

Rooms very dated that look like they haven't been updated since the 90's with mis-matched patched up painted walls, The room was Superficialy clean but moulds around the windows and grubby grout with rust stains running down the tiles complimented by a loose fitting shower head and toilet handle. The Tv was from the 1990's with a taped together remote... More

You know what you get with a travel lodge. The rooms are all similar sizes, the accommodation is to the same standard across the country, even the decoration is identical. However, what set this travel lodge apart from all the others is the exceptional staff. The three members of staff we encountered throughout our stay were outstandingly helpful and friendly.... More

What a lifesaver this travelodge has been. Following a murder at the holiday camp we were booked on, for an ice hockey tournament, the booking was cancelled while on route. Frantically trying to book something the Travelodge came up at £75 for 2 nights in a family room. When we arrived we received a lovely welcome from the receptionist Lindsay.... More

Excellent accommodation, helpful friendly staff. Perfect for short or long stay. If touring then central to visit the Ayrshire towns and coast, ie Ayr,Troon, Irvine, Saltcoats, Ardrossan, Largs etc. easy to reach and travel to. Only drawback is the fact the nearby Little Chef has closed and is now boarded up. We used it often in the past and it... More

Enjoying travelling the country as we're now retired and find Travelodge extremely good value for money - very clean and with the newly refurbished lodges they are excellent and well above average.JOHN ARMSTRONG
