My friend and I stayed here in May and it is the most stunning and well furnished B&B. Without a doubt it is the best B&B I have stayed in Britain in the past 10 years. It is stunningly decorated, huge elegant rooms, wonderful hosts. The house is set in gorgeous grounds with peacocks in the garden and a small running stream. Breakfast was amazing and you are treated like royalty and you feel like it in the gorgeous dining room. Check out the stain glass window freezes and ask the owners the story behind them. Balmuirfield house is out of the city centre, but still easily accessible by car and definitely worth staying in and paying the extra for a taxi if you want to go into town. more
