Broughty Ferry is a pretty town only a few miles from Dundee which unfortunately isn't! There are many pubs , restaurants and hotels all eager to get business and generally you will be looked after well almost everywhere. This old Inn has loads of character and the service is exemplary. Warm welcome and nothing too much trouble. Spent quite a... More

This is a superb place to stay. Booked it at the last minute and it really was a fab stay. The staff just can't do enough for you. I booked a double bed unfortunately on arrival it was twin beds. On telling the staff it was remedied straight away. Very busy place. No wonder its a gem.

We stayed for three nights and liked it. Our room was comfortable and the food was good. Staff were friendly, but a little error prone, no towels in room and losing our table reservation, but then quick to put things right. It's hand for Broughty Ferry railway station, but note that the train service is a bit limited.Better to use the... More

We have just had an overnight stay in The Fisherman's Tavern. Our room was ideal with cosy comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast, both freshly cooked and delicious. If I was ever in the area again, this would be my first choice of accomodation.

I came to the area on business - was a last minute booking. Fantastic value for money room - clean, well equipped and quiet. Breakfast served nice and early (helps us reps). Actually ate here too - often I venture out somewhere else for variety. However, the quality of the customer service (Gavin) and his extensive knowledge of the menu/guest... More

A group of eight of us stayed here in July whilst enjoying the wonderful golf courses of the Angus coast. This is an ideal location for a golfing base. The rooms were ideal, clean and comfortable and the hospitality was very warm and friendly. There was a great breakfast each morning and the food in the restaurant was excellent.

My wife and I recently returned to Canada from our two week vacation in Scotland. We stayed here with family and friends over the weekend during The Open Championship. It was a great location, with great food and great craft beers for our weekend (3-night) stay. We found this tavern of great value! All rooms vary in size, ours was... More

We and two other couples stayed here last week during the British Open golf championship. Great value!!!! Rooms really varied in size -- one small, one adequate (with updated bath) and one, their executive suite, very large. Trust me, the executive suite is worth the few extra quid!!! The staff was VERY friendly--really wanted to please you!! Beds were OK.... More
