Just returned from a short break at the Fisherman's Tavern with a friend. We both enjoyed being part of the Fisherman's Tavern. The rooms were great and the staff are lovely and so friendly towards there customers. The bars are full of charm and ideal to just relax in while supping from an excellent list of ales. The food is... More

My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights recently and had a wonderful time. Great welcome, terrific beer and fantastic breakfast. Great base for exploring mega beautiful surrounding area, especially the pristine, deserted beaches.

I first found this pub back in 1981, at that time it was just a pub, no accommodation or food, just a really great pub. I came back in 1985 and 1989, all of these visits were work related. It was still a great pub serving real Scottish ales, with just snacks and no accommodation. This time I returned for... More

Popped in again whilst up visiting family we love this pub and have been here many times. Would easily recommend this to anyone but on this visit the food was not up to the usual high standard that we have come to expect it was ok but not as good as normal and the portions have shrunk some what. So... More

This place is outstanding! With the best customer facing management and staff you could wish for, nothing was too much trouble from checking in to leaving during our 4 night stay. Clean and tidy accommodation with great food on offer. Please include black pudding on the breakfast menu :-) Thanks,Tracy/Louise/Debbie/Jeanette and all of the other staff at the F.T. Iain... More

My friend and I travelled down for a surprise birthday party, we only booked a double room with a week or two's notice and were delighted to secure one on a Saturday night - it was the last available one as well, another friend tried to get one - for only £60. Having stayed in many hotels over the years... More

Stayed for just one night but what a lovely experience. Staff are all totally welcoming and fabulous. Food is great and just finished the best breakfast. Even had kippers. Room was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. Thanks to everyone and we will be back. Pub is super and hubby loved the choice of real ale.

We recently stayed here for a long weekend break and we could not be happier with the general hotel, it's staff; friendly and courteous the room basic yet well finished and clean, the food on offer was worthy of a hotel of a higher standard. Pretty much no downsides to this fantastically located inn/ tavern that has a fabulous range... More

My husband and I stayed overnight in this lovely wee hotel and were well impressed with our room (5) and couldn't believe how big and spacious it was.the hotel sits just beside the shore and is just as handy for the shops and the castle. We dined there and the food was delicious. Generous portions and very reasonably priced. The... More
