We arrived in Dundee without a forward booking and tried to find a place to stay. We stumbled upon Alcorn Guesthouse and didn't start with good impressions due to all the Hindu and Buddhist idols on display in reception. Lalitha asked us our budget, knocked 20 pounds off our top price and then added 3 pounds each for breakfast. Extraordinary!... More

Close to local amenities and without any parking problems (street parking at front door) this is a very comfortable B & B. The proprietor is a lovely lady who gives a warm welcome to all her guests, many of whom visit regularly and have become friends. The rooms are spacious and very clean, wifi is available throughout the building. Shops... More

It was the only open B&B in the street at that time of the year (!) Very convenient host, she didn't charge us for the continental breakfast. The rooms are massive and the bathroom is clean, but the sheets are a bit too short for the beds.

We stayed tonight at this lovely place. Very nice host, she served a very good breakfast and was very helpful and friendly. The room and bath has eben clean and in a good condition. Hostel is located very central, only 15minutes to walk to the center. I can recomend this B&B without any doubts.

First impressions - taxi driving into the street, noticing it's a residential area. The guest house from the outside, looked a bit dated, but clean. The owner, a very friendly lady, could do anything for us, even four loud young girls. Even the next day, she was saying she was listening out for us, "wondering where the girls are", and... More

Nice little place adjacent to the (few) restaurants in the area. Very friendly owner, who went so far as to go out and buy vegetarian sausages for us. The rooms are small but clean and convenient for groups of more than two people (semi-separate accommodations within mini-apartments). However, no soap or shampoo for the shower, and the curtains did not... More

I placed a booking at this guest house via laterooms this afternoon. Literally 2 hours after the laterooms adviser had phoned through my booking, re-confirmed the room price and my reason for staying, do I get a phone call from the guest house informing me that my booking is in fact, now invalid unless i agree to a close to... Stayed here in march for a night ... The B&B is very clean, rooms are bright, spacious and modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Perfect location - quiet area but close enough to all amenities. Will definitely stay there again.

Stayed here for 3 nights plus 3 friends. We all agree it was a great place to stay as the land lady couldn't have been more friendly, kind and helpful. All rooms clean, comfortable. Breakfast was delicious too! Would definitely stay here again. Thank you.
