Another lovely afternoon tea of the usual high standard. Good fillings in the sandwiches, lashings of jam & cream for the scones and pancakes, and lots of tasty treats in the sweet selection. Staff are very pleasant & attentive. The décor is very nice & a lovely garden to sit out or wander round. Very clean premises.

I stayed here whilst away on business, nice location just outside Dundee. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast was ok in the morning. Nice cheap and cheerful b & b, great price for this time of year. Wifi not the best.

We went to the Taychreggan to celebrate my husbands birthday. There were 9 of us all together and everyone truly enjoyed our visit. The food was absolutely delicious, tasty, hot & plenty. There was lots to choose from, from curry to traditional food and baguettes. We all has starters and a main course. Everyone had something different and we all... More

Great quiet hotel with lovely garden terrace. I would suggest that it is more of a homely Scottish Guest House with well known comforts that are associated with a family run establishment. Staff are friendly and polite in all areas of the hotel. Well worth a visit.

Went for an evening meal last week with my husband and seven year old son. The menu was great as their was food to cater for all. My son went for fish chips whilst we had the mixed starter for two, chicken karahi and biryani. The chicken karahi was especially tasty and my son thoroughly enjoyed it too. Great place... More

The Spice Indian restaurant was always one of the best in Dundee before it had to close and the Taychreggan Hotel was a traditional hotel and restaurant which provided an unusual experience in Broughty Ferry. Now that they have combined and reopened, this has become one of my favourite dining places once again. Having a car park, a combination of... More

Missed the old spice restaurant after it burned down in Broughty ferry so was delighted when they opened in this hotel. The Indian food is amazing. Everything was just perfect which says a lot coming from me as i am very fussy. The staff are great as always. Very friendly and always happy to see you. My 4 year old... More

This hotel in Broughty Ferry is a little off the main track but is well worth going to. After an initial mix-up with my booking, the stay was excellent. Friendly, helpful staff and really excellent food. Food was a little pricey but still great. Rooms are clean and confortable and plenty of free parking.
