I have experienced a lovely weekend with my wife. I was impressed with the whiskey collection that Mark(the owner - very nice guy). Besides that, Mark can explain anything about Scotch Whiskey, he is a master.the food was great. The staff are so friendly and polite. In addition, the rooms are great (size, clean, spacious bathroom) and has a HD... more

Had an amazing mini-break at this charming Bed & Breakfast with by far some of the best customer service and food available (try the poached smoked salmon - delicious, and I don't even like smoke salmon). Also has one of the most impressive Scotch selections I have ever seen of which I learned almost as much about Scotch here as... more

A beautiful property full of character, this small hotel is truely a hidden gem. The staff are friendly and polite at all times and nothing seems too much trouble for them. The owner hosts the grand whisky bar and will happily educate you in the huge variety of whisky available. The food is excellent - a good variety to suit... more

Went to the Taychreggan for my mum and dad's golden wedding anniversary meal. The standard of the food was excellent and not one of us (eight in total) could find fault with the meal. The service was very good and unobtrusive. Have not experienced better value for money. Will definitely go back again on my next visit to Dundee. Cannot... more

Finding a really good hotel these days is a very difficult task. So many appear possibly good but fall short. Not the Taychreggan! Far from it. Despite its reasonable room rates, the rooms are lovely - large, refurbished (for the most part, and the rest are in progress). Excellent fittings, great bathroom, large, comfortable bed, and warm. In winter, warm... more

I have only good things to say about the Taychreggan! The staff are extremely welcoming and will do whatever they can to help. The hotel itself is a lovely large Victorian house with a beautiful garden in front for the use of the guests. Some of the upper rooms have a view of the Tay. Our twin/double room was very... more

A real surprise and the hotel exceeded my expectations. The food is of a very high standard and the entire staff are very customer focused. It's not a 5 star hotel but is well organised and the rooms very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Several of my colleagues stay here and all of them give it top marks. Excellent! more

The staff at this hotel are easily the best I have experienced. The service in the Bar and Restaurant is outstanding. This is a quiet hotel with large comfortable rooms and a good breakfast. Views over the Tay are magnificent. Lovely outside terrace and garden. more

Stayed here twice recently and I was made to feel very welcome by attentive, enthusiastic and caring staff. It was great to see staff who had positive attitudes and could smile whilst working, nothing was too much trouble! The clean and attractive accomodation was very good with large comfortable beds and effective showers. Both times I had a large room with... more

I have ever been in. If you are going there be sure to dress up in your pearls and twinset because you won't be served with so j=much as aglass of water otherwise otherwise. This place is a real hark back to the past and anything but a blast. A real dump more
