Having been regulars to the Taychreggan in the past we were keen to see how to fared with the new owners. We've had a take away from Spice which was average and lunch on 3 occasions in the restaurant but unfortunately it's not a patch on the "old" Taychreggan. The staff were pleasant albeit disorganised but the food, sadly, appears... More

My husband and myself have just been for afternoon tea and all I can say is how dissappointed we are with the quality of the food, 8 small finger sandwiches very sparingly filled with tasteless cheap fillings, no attempt made to make it look appealing, the cake stand was crammed with cake but unfortunately quantity is no substitute for good... In late May this year we came across this Hotel quite by accident when looking for a place to stay for the night. What a wonderful surprise. The Indian owners were very helpful. We had two lovely rooms with great views of the gardens. For dinner we chose an Indian meal - wonderful spicy food - and a special Indian... More

Visited on a Sunday for afternoon tea to celebrate a family birthday, using itison vouchers. Firstly they didn't have our table ready when we arrived so we had to stand in the bar. When they brought the afternoon tea out, the sandwiches were bland, unappetising fillings on supermarket sliced white and brown bread, not the flavoured breads as advertised -... More

Nice to see this hotel re-opened and now the choice of Indian Restaurant "Spice" on the premises too. It was very, very busy - the main restaurant full and people waiting in the foyer. Our table in Spice was booked for 8 pm (6 of us) but unfortunately there had been a slip up and our table was not free -... Had Afternoon Tea here this afternoon and it was a delightful experience. Lovely sandwiches , scones and cakes and plenty of them. Everything was very tasty and the staff very friendly. Will definitely be back. Thanks for the lovely afternoon.

The food was great and very good value. An establish Indian restaurant business ( formerly different premises ) in an off the beaten track location, but a good location with ample car parking. Friendly staff if a little chaotic but owners come and ak if everything is ok. Food is very tasty and authentic.

If you're looking for nice place for a meal in the Ferry, then give the Taychreggan a visit. They have the choice of the 'Spice' Indian menu or a European menu, and both have a wide selection to choose from. We went for lunch, I had a European choice and my wife had an Indian dish, both were really good.... More

We were pleased that the Taychreggan had reopened and decided to book for Saturday lunch, and I've got to say the choice of food was fantastic. The lunch menu caters for all tastes and includes traditional fare, pizzas and authentic curries. Staff were friendly and polite and the atmosphere, decoration and lovely gardens added to a pleasurable visit. Our next... More
