The room was booked fairly last minute so I didn't get the usual saver rate that I try to get whenever I stay in a Travelodge. The hotel itself is quite awkward to find if you've never been in Dundee before. I initally thought that the parking was great as it was nice big car park and was free. My... more

Just back from a long weekend in Dundee to visit friends and family and have to say was not impressed at all by this hotel. Location is fine, just a few minutes walk from the town centre, bars, shops etc but the hotel itself leaves alot to be desired. The rooms are sparse and devoid of any positive features. Just... more

Went to the Travelodge Dundee Central for my Hen Night where we had booked 12 rooms in total. As I'm from Dundee I knew exactly where the hotel was and a rough idea where the car park was but major hint - If you are using the Car Park, ask for directions before you go because if I wasn't from... more

Converted from old jute mill and surrounded by old buildings. Chair had tear in it, mattress very lumpy. Building work outside bedroom window which started at 8.20am but to be fair they mention building work on their website. Short distance to city centre with plenty of shops and eating places. The shared front entrance had litter and old drink cans... more

The room was cold (it was December) but had it not been for my friend who helped with my luggage I would not have been able to turn on the complicated radiator. The "healthy breakfast" which I had pre-paid turned out to be a box of pre-packed cereal with horrid "milk", a smoothie and a chocolate chip "health" bar. The... more

This hotel, a converted mill, is less than 10 mins walk to Dundee railway station and also to the main shopping area (and Caird Hall). The rooms are large, each with a double bed and a fold-out sofa bed. There is a clean and functional bathroom with WC and bath with shower, but remember (as always with Travelodge) to take... more

Have stayed here a few times while visiting friends in Dundee. Location is very central so handy for the train station and not too far from the bus station. My room this time was on the front of the property facing the disco across the road. Once the disco gets going, you can hear the "thump thump" of the music... more

If you can book far enough in advance, and thus secure a discounted rate, this hotel offers reasonable value. It is within easy walking distance of the Overgate shopping centre. My room was the largest I have ever been allocated in a budget hotel. But it was utterly bleak - no attempt had been made to add any homely touches... more

We stayed here because it was central and right next door to Taymills which is the student accommodation our daughter was living in. Being so close to loads of sudents would explain previous reviewers complaints about drunks. We had a room at the back of the hotel so didn't have the noise problem other reviewers had. However although our room... more
