The staff and management at The Panmure Hotel could not have been more friendly and welcoming. As for the food, fantastic!!!!! Never eaten such large portions of well cooked and presented food and all home made too. I think that "greenhappytraveller" must have been staying at a very much different hotel than this one as it was such a nice... more

Just returned from a disgraceful stay at the Panmure Hotel, Monifieth, Dundee. Staff were very aggressive and abusive. The hotel is very poorly managed and has a 'can't be bothered' attitude. I do not normally right reviews but I felt compelled to do so after a very disappointing stay. more

We held our Renewal of Vows ceremony in the Panmure Hotel. The two new owners, John and Nigel were excellent hosts. The food was excellent (all freshly made and cooked). The function suite had been newly decorated and the rest of the hotel is currently being refurbished. Our room had also been tastefully decorated. The staff went out of their... more

I have stayed every month since the beginning of the year. Yes there were some issues initially due to the management but since the new owners have taken over it has improved 10 fold. Being a single lady traveller I seek a place where I can relax and not feel threatened or uncomfortable which is why I come here. Since... more

I was threatened by a member of staff at this hotel for asking what a workman was doing? I was just being nosy and was polite as I said it. I have never been physically threatened, especially while not at one's place of work. I did report it to one of the new owners who was not interested and was... more

Recently I had the pleasure of staying at the Panmure Hotel for a week during the transition of the new management team . The difference in the atmosphere and the hospitality shown to my brothers and myself was immediate. I have stayed here on many occasions while visiting my father in Monifieth this time however the service, food and cleanliness... more

We arrived during the change over of the new owners and to be honest were very nervous, as we stayed here 2 years ago and were not impressed. Due to it's ideal location ( across from our elderly parents,) we gave it another try and were not dissapointed, in fact we will be returning at the end of september! The... more

The welcome from the receptionist was, "o s**t I've let out your room". In front of my 10 year old! They had got the day of our stay wrong, I showed them the e-mail of conformation, but got no appologies. The staff then went on to say that the people staying in our room were 'odd' and they did not... more

We stayed at the Panmure Hotel recently and found the old style hotel to be very accomodating. The staff very friendly and the meals are reasonably priced and of very good quality. If you are looking for a relaxing break I would reccomend the Panmure more
