Ate her with friends on Friday. Very poor, this is top hotel in Dundee. Choice for vegetarian on web site looked fine but actual menu had limits. Starters were just okay, white whine was warm and needed skip of ice to bring it down to temperature. My steak was cooked right but was tough in places. The mash was dey... More

For Christmas this year our daughter and her family, who live in St, Andrews, got us an evening at Malmaison Dundee. What a great gift it turned out to be. My daughter says she remembers me me saying as we would drive by the deserted old Tay Hotel, that I was going to buy that someday and turn it into... More

Beautiflly renovated hotel, cannot fault the room, but stay was spoilt by appalling food, poor service and ridiculous price of drinks. Our works Xmas party was booked well in advance with our choices of food ordered weeks in advance. We sat down at 7.30 pm and food did not begin to appear until an hour later at which point staff... We spent a late Saturday afternoon hoping to enjoy a few glasses of champagne in the ambiance of Malmaison......sadly disappointed...they need to take lessons from Aberden malmaison....no atmosphere, the 3 rd glass of champagne was flat.... Returned in a new glass with a raspberry hoping we wouldn't notice the difference....poor show....the attending staff did a great job of dealing with... More

We had a trip to Dundee to catch up with friends and had a lovely stay at Malmaison. I agree wholeheartedly with previous comments on staff from check in to check out were all extremely helpful. The hotel is stunning. We had champagne afternoon tea which was excellent. The breakfast was also excellent and staff provided first class service. I... More

Following a working day in the city my wife and I had an excellent evening meal in the first floor Brasserie. The food was excellent and atmosphere romantic . We had a top floor room for the night which was tastefully decorated and had superb views over the Waterfront.

Where to start...the staff, superbly accommodating from the moment we arrived to our departure. Our room, should I say suite - perfection. Double shower and sinks, roll top bath, underfloor heating - toastie tootsies, enormous bed, a huge tv in the bedroom and another in the lounging area which had a luxurious cuddle sofa. On top of that were all... More

This hotel has undergone a fantastic transformation having sat empty and severely neglected for many years. We had a most enjoyable stay from the moment we entered the hotel foyer and were greeted by helpful and friendly staff. Our room on the fifth floor was very spacious and tastefully decorated. Dennis the Menace, a well known Dundee character, adorned the... More

Stayed here whilst visiting relatives in Dundee so have visited many of the hotels over the years. First time at Malmaison since it opened last year. They have done a great job in transforming this landmark hotel which was in need of restoration. Decor is excellent and take the grand staircase instead of the lift it's well worth it. Bedrooms...
