Stayed on a special deal including dinner and a bottle of wine. Room beautiful and the beds extremely comfortable, appreciated the Dennis the Menace picture!! Service and food faultless. Can't wait to go back. So glad Malmaison have renovated this gorgeous old building.

Went for drinks and found nice seating areas. We tried two bars. The main bar and the cocktail bar. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. The dining room is lovely and we plan to try it soon. But when we ordered an expwensive bottle of champagne, the bottle wasn't even chilled! hotel were busy but this was bad planning by... More

Our reservation in Dundee was made by another hotel in Aberdeen when we found ourselves there with no room for miles. We had no expectations....just happy to find a place. When we arrived rather late we were greeted warmly and offered a lovely room at a price considerably lower than the normal rate, including continental breakfast and champagne in the... More

Booked on a Travelzoo deal for our anniversary. So well looked after, our son had phoned to order a bottle of wine for us and staff had provided a card from them. Food good, prawn cocktail massive.fresh ground coffee nice idea in room but really finicky to use. Needs a make up mirror in rooms as quite dark. Beds really... More

I've stayed here twice this year. Both times have been in club rooms which have been very comfortable. Restaurant for evening food good but found the breakfast a little underwhelming so chose to go elsewhere on the second stay. Staff friendly and generally service is very good. However, service at the cocktail bar on both occasions very slow (despite it... More

This was our second visit, having stayed previously in June this year, and it couldn't have been more different! Everything was simply perfect, the staff at reception remembered that I like to have a bath instead of just shower facilities and thus allocated us a room with a lovely cosy bath. They also left a welcome greeting card in the... More

Loved this hotel. Booked their £99 deal which included a double room with 2 course dinner and a bottle of wine. Our room was small, with a large and comfortable bed taking up most of the room space which for one night was fine. If staying longer however I would upgrade to a club room for more space. Loved the... More

As per the title, a really nice hotel in a perfect location. Perfect for the train but not sure about parking availability. Staff were lovely and their colleagues in the Aberdeen branch could learn from them. My girlfriend left her earring which was promptly posted back to us

We traveled by train which is a five minute walk to hotel. Pleasant large room . Only one seat so someone has to sit on the bed. Lovely shower and herbal teas in room. Staff pleasant and service in restaurant is slow but this is fine if you want a leisurely dinner. Food was good. There is building going on... More

We ate in the brasserie for a family meal (Sunday brunch). Starters from chefs table were great but it was downhill from there on in, I'm afraid. Lukewarm food served on cold plates by disinterested staff is far from what you'd expect in a hotel promoting itself as 4*. On the plus side, we were undercharged, but I can only... More
