Cosy, comfortable clean room. Good nights sleep and excellent choice for breakfast - important to me being a vegetarian. Staff helpful and good location short walkable distance from city centre. Will be my regular place when visiting Dundee again in the near future.

Two day trip to Dundee to see favourite band in concert. Ashton ideally located, short walk to venue. Room was warm, comfortable and clean. Breakfast excellent. No hesitation in recommending this place. Great value will be returning.

Thought my wife deserved a break so rang the Ashton to get some information regarding rooms, costs, local attractions and transport links. Hadn't stayed in Dundee before so wanted to check everything before making a booking. The lady on the telephone was extremely helpful and when I asked if it was possible to get a ground floor room she said... More

My husband surprised me and booked us a 7 night stay at the Ashton in Dundee. Having never stayed in Dundee before we were extremely delighted with the large ensuite room we were booked into. Husband had requested a ground floor room which was not a problem and we were given the family room which was warm, spacious and very... More

We do not accept any of the comments made by this reviewer as they are ALL unsubstantiated. If you experienced a problem with the radiator; you felt cold and you felt the shower was leaking, why did you not mention any of this during your 2 night stay?? You booked a Double Ensuite room and were given our large Ensuite... More

Was working nearby for few nights and this place was my saviour. I phoned at short notice and was fitted in. Room I got was at top part of the guest house which was perfect as was exceptionally quiet. (Ideal with night shift) I slept really well. Room was big. Shower was hot but lacked bit of oomph. Downside was... More

Central location. Clean rooms. Warm and comfortable. Basic with old decor but good value for money. Only one small complaint - The hot breakfast was at my table within 20 seconds of arriving in the eating area and was subsequently cold after I ate a piece of fruit and cereal. Would have been nice to be asked and to have... More

The rooms are clean and because guests are allowed to adjust the heating they are warm and comfortable, but a more pleasing look could be achieved by changing to more attractive bed covers and skirts. The breakfasts are adequate but simple things like lack of marmalade, also the salt and pepper shakers being filled would be appreciated. Close to city... More
