The picture of this hotel are very deceptive, what you actually stay in is a added on warren of badly decorated rooms with quite shabby furniture. The staff were friendly though. I didn't use them but the leisure facilities looked quite nice and the grounds are lovely full of rabbits. Breakfast felt very much like a production line but was... more

After booking I looked at the reviews and must admit to being a little unsure as to what to expect. What we got was a lovely 3 star hotel with free carpark and leisure centre- all included in very good rate. OK the hotel could do with a bit of an update but given the price we paid £70 for... more

Our family stay at the Swallow Hotel Dundee was anything but relaxing. We couldn't eat at our time of choice in the restaurant due to a group of 80 guests dining at 7.30pm, no attempt was made to accomodate us or to apologise for us having to eat earlier than suited. The pool showers were broken and looked like they... more

We have just come back from an awful experience in this hotel. We booked on line the night before, and on travelling 100 miles, we were told there was no booking. What happened was, although we could book in from 2pm , they hadn't bothered to check their fax machines for any incoming guests. Indeed our fax was there, but... more

I stayed here one night in November on business. I have driven past this hotel many times but this was my first stay. The reception, greeting and room were excellent. It was a very cold night but the place was warm and comfortable. I eat in the Restaurant at dinner and I really could no fault the food and the... more

After attending my brothers wedding, my partner and i had decided to get away for a few nights afterwards and had booked this hotel for 2nights DBB. We didnt want to travel too far from home or spend too much money. It was reasonable what we paid for DBB and the hotel was lovely, the room was ideal and we... more

Stayed here for a special occasion only to be dreadfully disappointed in the decor, food and the attitude of the staff. The food was inedible and the prices they charged were more suited to a 4 or 5 star hotel. All the food was luke warm at best and clearly had been reheated in a microwave. A £21 steak had... more

My husband and I stayed at the Swallow after a family birthday party in Dundee. It was awful.. We had booked an executive room, but if it really WAS an executive, goodness knows what the ordinary rooms must have been like. The staff looked very unhappy; the service was poor in the bar, and also with the bar menu. I... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Swallow in Dundee as we live in Glasgow and wanted to have a nice weekend away nearby. We booked the Swallow through the Internet and were given what we thought was a good rate. We arrived at the hotel half an hour after check in time. Upon arrival we were told our room... more
