Based ourselves at the hotel as a base for sightseeing in the local area, staying 2 nights in 2 adjacent club rooms. The rooms were fantastic and very spacious. Dined in the main conservatory restaurant, which overlooks the extensive grounds, the first evening with first class food and service . Used the bar for a more relaxed setting the second... more

I booked this hotel to celebrate my mums 65th birthday as I thought with the refurbishment gardens leisure etc., it would be an excellent choice.I was sadly mistaken....I took cake balloons and they refused to accomodate me by putting cake in fridge and were most unhelpful. The breakfast was served by a young surly bad tempered waitress who informed us... more

room was gorgeous, lovely toiletries and breakfast was fantastic. Hotel doing great deal when staying 2 nights or more (£60 per room per night). Staff were brilliant too and most of the work has been completed. Would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to all more

We had a refurbished room, quite cosy but adequate. The breakfast buffet was good, hot food. The pool was a delight and the grounds picturesque.Close to the city centre but far enough away to be reasonably quiet. Will be wonderful when the refurbishment is finished I'm sure more

My friend and I organised a get-together weekend and booked in January for a two night stay, twin room. He phoned 5 days prior to arrival just to ensure all was well and was assured that all was OK. I was a little nervous as this hotel appears to make a habit of bouncing its clients... Having flown from London... more

I tried to list this review this hotel under its new name but for some reason Tripadvisor would not let me?. It is no longer called the Swallow. It is the Landmark Dundee and is situated on The Kingsway approximately 4 miles from the centre of Dundee towards Perth. The location is somewhat isolated as it is well away from... more

This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in! It is drab, dated, staff are unfriendly, rooms are small, filthy, breakfast aweful......do I need to continue. O yes one small matter the fact that I had already payed for the hotel through a website but on check in, the swallow hotel had swiped my credit card and proceeded... more

We booked as part of a wedding party group - we were assured that we would be given the best rate possible. Never book like this - we could have got a far better rate through an agency or the internet or just by ringing the hotel and NOT quoting the wedding party name. Once there the rooms were in... more

Typical corporate type hotel on the edge of town. My room was tired and the bathroom needed a rebuild. I ate in the bar and the food was cheap and cheerful. Staff friendly enough and helpful. A big car park with CCTV. more
