We stayed here for three nights from June 27 to June 30th. We have two kids 7 and 9. They loved the pool and the food. This hotel is in a great location, it's residential yet close to the beach and a good running/walking trail on the shore. There is also a nice city rock garden nearby. The town has... more

On arrival check in was fast and efficient. My room was a reasonable size, had all the usual stuff you would expect and was clean and fresh. I ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was pretty good, there was a fair choice on the menu. Breakfast was a good mix of cereals, fruit and cooked options.... more

Hotel is set in nice quiet street in Broughty Ferry amongst trees in small grounds - loads of parking. Broughty Ferry itself is a very nice place - small castle, childrens play parks, beautiful beach and nice little shops and eating places. We had to carry our luggage upstairs as there is no lift. The room we got in the... more

We stayed for five nights and felt very relaxed and welcome. Staff could not have been more helpful with the children, serving breakfast cereal late at night when we arrived, cleaning up after the poorly baby incident, all with courtesy and kindness. There is only one family room so book it early. It is lovely and spacious with two TVs... more

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights whilst on a business trip. The accommodation was spotless and spacious and set in pretty woodland grounds. I found the staff to be particularly friendly and helpful throughout my stay, the leisure facilities were great and the restaurant provided both quality food and varied selection. Highly recommend for a great value hotel. more

As per a lot of Best Western hotels, this is set in a grand old building, as also as per usual, is slightly run down. However, for a lot of people, character is more important than the having the standard layout of Premier Inn etc, in which case this hotel will apeal to you more than staying in the clinical... more

Booked a good deal through the Best Western Site and what a nice surprise it was. A large reception awaits and we were quickly checked in and shown to our room which was certainly large enough, very well appointed and spotless. There's a very nice bar and large restaurant where breakfast is also served. The leisure facilities are also excellent... more

When taking our daughter to the University of Abertay we decided at the last minute to include an overnight stay. We couldn't find anything on the net presumably because other parents had the same view. So we decided to contact hotels directly and having read the reviews of this hotel on Tripadvisor we were happy to get the last double... more

We went to stay at the Woodlands Hotel as my son wanted to play golf in the area. I booked my stay direct with the hotel and the receptionist was ever so helpful and advised me of the golf courses in the area. We found the hotel very easily with the directions and checked in during the middle of a... more
