Why does this Hotel still appear on Tripadvisor? It was closed last year and has now been demolished to help make way for the new V&A Museum. The Hilton Doubletree, formerly The Landmark, has replaced it.

Visited recently for one night on business, including a dinner at the hotel. I have to say we were treated very well and the dinner itself was excellent. In terms of appearance, the outside of the hotel is very tired and I understand it will be pulled down as part of Dundee's waterfront development. A shame really as the inside... More

I have used the Hilton in Dundee for many business rtrips in the past but it looks like major developments in Dundee will mean this may be my last to this particular location. I do hope that the Hilton name will stay in Dundee and I hope to visit their new hotel in the coming years. Hope the view of... More

We stayed last weekend to say goodbye to our favourite hotel. We have been coming to Hilton Dundee for many years twice a year. It is such a welcoming chilled place and we enjoy the relaxing atmosphere ,friendly staff and great food. We are very sad it is being demolished but have lovely memories! We hope all the staff do... Probably my oddest review as the Dundee Hilton closes at noon on 28 March but the loyalty and friendliness of the staff alone deserve one last mention. I've been coming here a few times a year since the 90s and it will be missed. Ok it was getting tired as Hilton global standards go, but the friendly staff, warm rooms,... More

Booked a couple of months ago on Laterooms for a girly break. Can't praise the staff enough for making us so welcome even though most of them are out of a job in a couple of days. Hotel was clean and we had a lovely view of the river even if it was freezing outside!! So handy for the shops.... More

Reading previous reviews I am struggling to understand because my stay was brilliant! We were staying here for a family wedding and the hotel was the wedding venue. Our rooms were classy and comfortable and Dundee is just a 5 minute walk away so very convenient. Our first morning we went down for the breakfast buffet which was delicious. After... More

Never stayed at this Hilton before. Normal staff, quality etc. Just something about the place. Then found out, that the entire area was due for renewal, which would make the reason why everyone seemed fed up. Standard Hilton Quality, but there are apparently better hotels in the area for the money, Hilton chain will know what its doing, its a... More

It's a shame because even if you are reading this review it is unlikely you will get to stay here. The hotel closes later this month as the area is redeveloped to house the V&A Museum. So in a sense it is a bit like reviewing a cabin on the Titanic, not because it was a disaster but because it... More

Very dated hotel, tired decoration, rooms small, outlook bleak from room allocated. Paid £238 for bed and breakfast for a room without a view with a toilet you have to reverse into for two nights. Thought it was over the top price wise. Absolute rip off. Staff on Reception was not up to scratch. Breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent.... More
