Having Stayed here more than 8 times a year over the previous 5 years I could not believe when I read some of the previous reviews. I have just returned from yet another stay here. Whilst this is not the most modern hotel, I have always found the Craigtay to be friendly relaxing and the food adequately priced and enjoyable.... more

i have been a few times here on business trips and it worked every time. Got a good deal through Laterooms for 37 pounds a night and an early breakfast as well. The girl at the reception got me an upgrade to a double room just like that! They serve the best haggis and the whisky sauce was just amazing.... more

Chose to try this Hotel while in Dundee on this visit and found it of excellent value, food was plain but delicious and nicely presented. Staff are very friendly and the place is spotlessly clean. more

We booked via laterooms.com, after reading some decent reviews. We don't normally go to 2 star hotels but this one seemed ok. Sadly this couldn't be further from the truth. The noise travelled everywhere! We were sent up 2 flights of dodgy old stairs to a room which was old, tatty and most uncomfortable. The bed's matress was rock hard.... more

Upon check in the staff member was unable to direct us into town. We were informed upon check in that there may be problems using the swipe key to enter the hotel, but that there was a party going on until early hours, so assistance was available in the function room. Otherwise we could use the intercom to the right... more

Although not the most aesthetically pleasing building from the outside. For a 2 star hotel I was more than happy. The staff are friendly and the food is good. I will certainly be back on my next visit to the area. more

I needed a centrally located hotel in Dundee and this did the business. It's not a brilliant hotel but it's competitively priced, the staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms ok, breakfast fair and the view from the rooms absolutely dire. (You see a metal scrapyard rather than the River Tay.) If I ever need to return to Dundee this will... more

Stayed here with my dad and brother in law to be during our visit to The Open Golf Championship at Carnoustie in 2007. The rooms were quite spacious and clean and the service was of above average in quality. The bar staff were excellent. The hotel was only 7/8 miles from the course, which was ideal. The steak we had... more

Just 1 mile from city centre this hotel was ideally situated for a quick stopover from glasgow to aberdeen. Food great and the Tunisian guy on the bar good fun....Rooms a little basic but clean and warm... Will be back! more
