Stayed here for Christmas 2013, had a fantastic time. The location is excellent, not too far from Dundee yet also a short car journey from some superb coastal villages too. Superb accommodation, beautiful setting, pet friendly and top quality throughout...will return soon!

The 4 of us stayed at forbes of Kingenie in the Glen Esk Lodge. Ideal for a family or group of 4. Plenty of room. We had spectacular views of the lakes which surrounded. A short walk to the golf course (hubby loved this) and restaurant. We felt at home here beautiful food and drinks! The lodge is fully supplied... More

We were lucky enough to visit this spectacular venue last week and we received incredible hospitality, particularly from Colin, Beverley and Andy. It was only a flying visit as we were interested in the history of the place and what they did there. The staff freely gave up their time to show us round and made us feel so welcome.... More

I stay quite locally and used to be a regular visitor bit out is quite expensive and the last twice we have visited have had an extremely long wait. You can't choose a cake anymore have to choose from dessert menu so noone visits for coffee and cake. The menu had become pricey and it has discouraged locals from visiting... More

We stayed in the Lennon Boat house for our wedding anniversary. Such a beautiful location. The boat house itself is lovely little cottage placed in the middle of a fishing lake sporting beautiful views and peace and quiet. Very clean and tidy and very comfortable stay. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a romantic break. It's self catering so... More

We rented 6 cottages for a week in June. Cottages are well equipped and have beautiful views. The best part is the staff. Whether in the restaurant, pub or in the sports shop the entire staff was so friendly and helpful - you couldn't ask for better service. Some of the cottages could use a good cleaning but that didn't... More

Second visit but this time disappointing. Remnants of balloons still in gallery which were there a year ago!!! Cobwebs in evidence and lots of light bulbs not working. Outside lodge appeared neglected (rhone pipes overgrown etc). Service in restaurant exceptionally poor and meal disappointing. (Please bring back Carlo - surely he is worth his weight in gold). Instantly obvious that... More

We booked for 5 nights but only managed 4. Bed not comfy, lodge shabby, dirty pan in kitchen, dirty towels in bathroom. Restaurant menu was quite boring. Golf was fab but fishing rubbish. Left feedback but haven't had acknowledgement yet. So sad because I really thought I had found something really great. I wouldn't bother again.
