We had just under a week in Moffat while up for the JUNE 2014 Clan Gathering and Bannockburn events, our American associates were over and held their AGM in Moffat, it was the week of the Car Rally so everywhere was very busy. Despite being full ,Carol and Michael at Bridge House gave every attention and spot on ;.It is... More

Carol was most apologetic when we arrived to find scaffolding on the front of the building. Apparently roof repairs were required following recent storms and roofing contractors had been much in demand. We needn't have worried. Carol had two alternative rooms ready but we chose to stay in our original room and she gave us a complimentary bottle of wine... More

Carol was very friendly and offered a warm welcome although the house was initially rather cold. The Superior room was fine if a little cramped but the highlight was an excellent dinner with three choices at each course. Michael is a very precise chef and his King Prawn salad was nicely presented while breast of Gressingham Duck was perfectly cooked... More

Carol was a great hostess and SUPER accommodating to whatever we needed. Her husband Michael is a wonderful chef and amazing artist. The full Scottish breakfast was really nice. We arrived toward the end of the B&B season and had the house all to ourselves. Rooms were clean (no mold or mildew in a very old house) and comfortable. Paintings/decor... More

The Bridge House is in a quiet area of Moffat, but not too far from the town centre. Carol was very welcoming and helped us find our way around town. Breakfast was wonderful. Unfortunately, dinner wasn't an option for us.

A warm welcome, arriving after a long hill day suitably dirty. Very comfortable bed in a spacious room. Slept soundly. Many choices for breakfast chosen the night before. Sited a short walk from the Main Streets in a quite area with views over to the hills.

Stayed two nights with a group of cyclists heading to John O'Groats--our rest day was here. Very welcoming to cyclists and even has sheds for them. Carol said "Make yourself at home," and that's how it felt there. She recommended a great restaurant and called in a reservation for us. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks again,... More

Stayed one night as doing the Southern Upland Way. Great service in a spotless house. The room was clean and of a good standard. The highlight was the meal would not have been out of place in many a gastro pub. Well worth a visit.

We stayed for one night on our way back from Skye. The directions on the Internet were spot on, found it easily. Lovely grand looking building with plenty of off road parking. Carol was very friendly, showed us to our lovely room (room 4), and gave us directions to the restaurant we had booked and into town. Room for was... More

How pleasant it was to discover a traditional bed and breakfast in a quiet part of town that made us feel very welcome from the time we arrived ( early at 2.30pm ). We thought we may have to wait for our room, but as it was ready we were shown through the charming entrance hallway and staircase to our... More
