We would recommend you treat yourselves to the four poster room, with its beautiful period features including shuttered windows which command breathtaking views. Try and include a stay over a weekend (as dinner as not usually served mid week). It will be worth it to sample chef Michaels gastronomy expertise. If you enjoy walking, pack your walking boots as the... more

I support the views of others. Our standard room was a little small but fine for one night. The dinner was wonderful and so we ate far more than planned. the creme brulee was the best ever. Perfect romantic place, beautiful furnishings and lovely surrounding countryside more

Stayed just one night, but will hopefully get back for a longer stay in the future. Highly recommended. The house is lovely, both inside and out, and with great views. The rooms really nice with some very thoughtful touches. Hosts very friendly, helpful and welcoming - really help to enjoy your stay. Breakfast was defintately the best that we had... more

Well situated on the outskirts of Moffat but within walking distance of the town. Lots of walks in the area and if the weather is bad then loads of castles and places of interest to see. Edinburgh is not far away and a great place to visit. The proprietors of Bridge House are fantastic - incredibly helpful and welcoming. The... more

Go for a superior room. The standard room we had was on the small side and, if you are tall, it may feel a little constrained at the bed-head end. However, everything else is to be recommended. more

Just returned after a 2 night stay at the Bridge House. It was one of the nicest, cleanest, most welcoming and relaxing B&B's I have ever stayed in. It was a home from home and Carol was really lovely and friendly. There was a group of 6 of us (occupying 3 rooms) and we were attending a wedding at nearby... more

I found this when i was reading the Guardian's Best B&B's in the UK. They were spot on. I am well travelled around the UK but have never felt as at home and lavishly comfortable than when we stayed at Bridge House. Carol and Michael were delightful hosts, very charming and sincere. We only planned to stay one night on... more

Stayed for one night and was deeply impressed. The house is an old Victorian house but there is nothing old and creaky about it. It is superbly maintained and has a decoration in keeping with its period.. It is spotless and nicely furnished. The bedroom we had was nicely decorated and again very clean, warm and welcoming. The hostess was... more

What a fantastic place to stay! This bed and breakfast is everything a bed and breakfast should be. The hosts Carol and Michael were warm and welcoming, the breakfast was absolutely delicious and the rooms are cosy and beautifully decorated. I will definately be staying there again in the very near future. more
